Ok 2000F150 4X4 - I SEE the shovel in the corner of the garage - you're not fooling me! You dragged that blower out of a friend's garage & posed it, right? LOL!
How do I post pics here? Do I have to have an album somewhere? Is there an easier way? After all, you gents have been kind enough to show me your snow removal equipment & I've got some pics of mine - the 1999 & 2000 models. If you clue me in on an easy way to post them I'll send them along! Bye for now!

Question

Thanks eph but how did these guys get their pics right here? I'd like to try doing the same so people don't have to go to another site to see them! They might not be interested enough to "travel" so far, especially in this snow!

Cowlady once you have the pics uploaded to the web when you want to post them in a reply right click on the the pic and go to properties. You should see a url about half way down the list, copy this and go to the message board. Put behind it and it should work. Heres and example.

How do I shovel snow?

Being in the speciality chemical/industrial wastewater business means we have all sorts of great stuff in our warehouse. One of those things is "Ice Melt" in large drums. Each year I gather up my supply of "samples."

Once the snow comes, I scatter my Ice Melt out onto my driveway and the snow disappears.
When it wears away, I just throw more out there.

Better living through chemistry!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I use the shovels to put snow in the back of the truck for weight I had a tough time starting it last snowfall, then a voice asked if there was gas in the tank. DOH! You can see it still has the extra shear bolt zip tied to the rotor, kinda forgot to take that off! I doesn't have a cupholder, but it does have a diff you can have either fully locked or unlocked. I wish my truck had that..

Question

Okay - I'll give it a try! Wish me luck! In all honesty though, it's easier to go out & shovel! LOL!
Here's last year's model:

Here's this years model - notice the sleeker design & the lighter weight. This combo has proven to be vastly superior to last years model:

Now for next year I have decided to get a bit more high tech & sophisticated. Not only will this serve to remove snow it should also pan out as an anti theft device!:

Now should I not be able to find a suitable version of this, my back up is also very useful:
I sure hope these pics come out! Enjoy!

Cool

Mike: Any kind of melter stuff just tears up our concrete. It's kind of old and we go back and forth from freeze to thaw alot around here. So its cheaper to get a snow snow blower than to replace concrete. If I lived at a rental like a condo or something though, I'd use lots of it heheh..

2000,

Each year my neighbor and I keep telling each other that we need to get that snow blower.......

Our ice melt is used on concrete surfaces and has not done anything to degrigate any of the surfaces so far. Trust me, if ours tore up the concrete at my industrial customer's plants, they'd be all over me. So far so good.

Maybe me and the neighbor will get that snow blower when they are on sale in June....

Happy New Year Everyone!

See, that's what's cool about living in MI, though.... If you ignore the snow long enough, it'll all go away by itself! :-)
