It doesn't matter. The media refuses to hold Bawney Fwank to account. If he were a Republican, he would've been investigated by Congress by now.

If one actually takes the time to buy and read books, they see that they only get one side of the story from the mainstream media.

They could also get sirius or XM and listen to the Patriot. They have some great talk radio hosts. Ones that hammer anybody who deserves it, dem or reb. Of course they have to spend more time with one party inparticular.

The truth probably lies somewhere between the two. JMO. It is always good to get information from many sources and form your own opinion.

Most books are backed up by copies of internal documents. If there are no footnotes, like in George Tenets, "At the Center of the Storm", then you are getting a lot of opinion.

The housing crisis started long before Bush left office. What did he do to help stop it?

What should he have done? Why should government be controlling the housing industry? There is too much government in our lives. Controlling business and making rules and laws for every phase of our lives is not the purpose of government, nor ae they good at it.

If we had rep I would give you a million. As usual well said blue. According to the Preamble of this nations Constitution, the gov't is to PROMOTE general welfare, not provide. He didn't and shouldn't have done anything.

Are you serious? Did you watch the video? Bush and McCain both tried to stop it but our lovely liberal friends in congress abused their power and wouldn't allow it.

Yes, that's right, the jerk offs YOU voted for made sure it happened. Good work!

The economy was slowly sinking and the Fed. cut interest rates to keep the housing industry and economy going. So instead of a small recession everything slowed and crashed. Of course you have the bundling of bad loans that were sold on Wall Street and other factors.

It was government policy on housing that set up this debacle... I hope you are saying that was wrong... Bush and the Republicans knew that if the brakes were put on FREDDIE and FANNY the Economy would tanked. They did not and DO NOT have the ***** to make the changes needed.

THE REALLY SAD PART ---- NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CHANGE THESE POLICIES... The fools still think it is going to be the housing market that will bring us out of the recession and REFUSE to even discuss changing policy for that reason. Plus what are they going to do ... start building public housing complexes again? I know in the past twenty years ALL of the big project homes around ATL have been torn down. (Where did all those people go?) Did trickle down work?
