Post All SuperDuty owners BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

All ford superduty owners beware! Thieves have found a way to get around the stock security system, and I know this all too well. My 2000 Ford SuperDuty was ripped of today at a parking lot in AZ, and it took them less than 15 minutes to steal it, now it's probably on it's way to Mexico to get raped of it's parts. I had heard about how vulnerable the stock sercurity system was, so I was planning on getting an after maket system on it, but they beat me to it. The superdutys are becoming a very hot ticket for thievs, so if you have one, get something to protect it from these guttless thieves. They also got, my Tippman paintball gun, all the grage door openers, the only keys to my other car, an a couple hunded dollars, cause it was all in the truck at the time.
Man I'm gonna miss her.

Sorry to hear about that....When you get it back, without your tires and rims, stereo and stuff. Check your area and see if they offer LOJAC...vehicle tracking...We installed the system here in San Antonio and it seems pretty cool..I am going to install it shortly in my truck, so if it does get stolen..It will be found very quickly, hopefully with as-hole still inside.....There are other companies that offer the set up too...With lojac its a one time fee, and as soon as you call in the stolen it activates the signal..Does anybody have any stories of products like this? Sorry to hear about your truck being stolen so they found a way to beat the P.A.T.S. system looks like we all need to look at extra anti theft systems.

Hey, thanks for all the nice comments, I appreciate them.
Don't worry, my insurance will give me Blue Book price which I think was around 32 grand, and since I have reciepts, and pictures, they will also pay for all the mods. I just hate the thought of somebody else messing with my truck, it's almost like a family member getting abused, and you just can't do anything about it.
From what I've heard the Superduties are mainly being targeted in AZ. I also just found out that the SuperDuties don't have the P.A.T.S security system, so that explains why they are so easy to steal. All along I wasn't too worried cause I thought my truck had the P.A.T.S system. I'm definately gonna look into that Lojak system, which is what I was planning on getting in the first place, since it sounded pretty neat. Thanks again!

That sucks! They should hang car/truck theives like they used to horse theives. They should put the PATS in all new vehicles. Then again, you have to wonder how good these devices will work when they get old.

I agree with Ford4Fun, it's a good lookin' truck. I hope they catch the scum bags that took her. Better yet, I hope you get it back in one piece.

Like you said, it's insured.

If it was mine, I'd have a few sleepless nights worring about her.

Good luck.
