Thats one reason I hate the cummin's, because every jack *** that owns one thinks it needs a straight pipe. The cummins is just like every other 6 cyl ever made, it should never have a straight pipe. They sound like a freaking 6cyl with some diesel clatter, how anyone could think that sounds good I have no idea. Now the powerstroke and duramax sound awesome with a straight pipe, and there is a reason for that, they are v8's.

I park next to silverado owners in my F150, i get lots of jealous looks. driving a subpar, petite girly truck makes them feel less of a man...ha ha.

what small trucks they are!

as for the cummins sound comment, why they put straight pipes is to make it sound like every other dodge motor. dont they all rattle like that?

all of the dodge engines around here do....ha ha...

FORD or go HOME!

I respect your opinion but i've been around v6 pickup's with straight pipe's and a straight piped cummin's doesn't sound anything close to them. The cummin's doesn't have that pissed off bumble bee exhaust tone. It may not have the deep tone of a powerstroke or duramax but it doesn't sound raspy and high pitched.

So the clanking sound the powerstroke engine make's is better? Yea it's considered normal but Chevy and Dodge owner's sure give Ford a hard time for having such a noisy engine. I'm not trying to start an argument with anyone but I'm not loyal to one brand of automobile so I give Chevy and Dodge respect for some of their vehicle's.

Exactly! Putting stack's on a pickup might be taking it a little too far but straight exhuast on a cummin's sound's awesome. I understand some people may not like it though so I'm not gonna argue with them on which truck sound's the best.

Im talking about the gas dodge engines....

hell every 6 cyl dodge engine in the intrepids, minivans, the 4 cyl in neons etc rattle like a baby is shaking it....face it dodge and chevs are no where near the quality of ford products, hence the reason those 2 are in way deeper financially than ford...

I have also, and its does get high pitched, not as high pitched as a gas v6 but much more high pitched than a v8 diesel. The cummins sounds like a 6 cyl diesel, there is no getting around that. It is one of the best engines ever made, but it just shouldn't have straights just like any other 6cyl. I also respect your opinion, but I am still going to make fun of every straight piped cummins I see.

Sounds pretty dang similar.

Ok Yea I their gas engine's suck. The only reason I would even consider their 3/4 ton truck is cause of the engine and it would also be a peice of crap if they built it theirself.

The only thing I hear high pitched in the video of that cummin's is the turbo.

Yea their's no lying about it the engine is a 6cyl but it still won't have an exhaust tone that sound's like a bee hive though. I guess you also think the big rig's running around with 8" stacks' sound like a v6 pickup?
