Steve - is there ANY way you can create a new forum for those who want to bash Ford's? I do NOT want censorship - anyone with anger, angst or complaints should be able to vent! HOWEVER - I find it rather frustrating to decide to read a post which appears to be of some relevance or importance, only to find buried within it a tirade against Ford's & the owners!
I apopogize for NOT having problems with my truck. I suppose I could always look at some of the posted problems & "claim" 1 or 2 as my own! However I find honesty is far more desirable & do my best to adhere to that pratctice. That rules out any pretense on my part regarding my truck. I think that if you created a forum for those who are anti Ford's (many of whom do not even OWN a Ford) that they can vent their little hearts/minds out & the rest of us can continue to post responsible, informative comments. I can't tell you how much I learn every time I visit this site but lately, I seem to be learning more negative comments than constructive advice. Once again this is MY opinion - it need not be agreed with but it needs to be stated. Thank you for your time.

Cowlady, I would think the "Quality is Job 1" forum would be just for that. The problem is the instigators don't ever get that far, they automatically go to the threads where they think they will get the most attention. Why do these people post all their problems in the "Engine" forum? Probably because that is the first one they see and they never get around to reading the rest of the forums where most Ford owners are very happy with their trucks and Ford. Some of these owners have valid complaints but they will never user the appropriate forum, they just want to throw a turd in the swimming pool to get everyones attention. When they don't get what they want or feel they are swaying the satisfied owners to join their cause they revert to name calling. They will also throw in "Everyone I have talked to is not happy with their truck" well, there must be even more people who are unhappy with their GM or Dodge to keep Ford the best selling truck for 22 years running.

I just get so tired of scrolling thru a thread hoping to find the INFO I was looking for & having to wade thru all the mud slinging & pointless put downs before finding what I need!
I make no attempt to hide my dislike for Chevy's. As a new driver who THOUGHT she could just jump in a car & race I saw many a trunk lid on Chevy's UNTIL I learned what I was doing. What QUALIFIES me to dislike OTHER auto makers? I have owned & driven Chrylser, Buick & Toyota vehicles. I will even admit that despite having no MAJOR problems with these vehicles & actualy finding the Camry the most reliable I still PREFER Ford's! Granted it is not a sampling of ALL makes/models but it is a fair cross section IMHO. I have also been able to drive just about any model of vehicle as my friends own all different models. Do I still CHOOSE to own a Ford? Yes! DO I base this on experience? YES! Do I expect everyone to own/love Ford's? Golly gee (redneckspeak) - NO WAY! If we all drove Ford's it would make it a very dull world. So, my advice to others who CHOOSE other makes & models is enjoy, good luck & have fun. BUT - just as I do not seek you out to complain about your CHOICE, do NOT come here to rag on me about mine! "To each their own" should be part of the agreement we have to accept when we register here. Maybe if the very first Forum was for "Those who DON'T want a Ford" these people would stop off, leave their remarks & go on their merry way to get their vehicles fixed when they aren't quite as reliable as first thought to be.

I know what you mean cowlady I just wish that all the bashers would just leave this site and if there not happy with there FORD then get another brand til they are happy and leave us alone. So far my truck has been fine from day one with maybe a couple minor things that I'm not going to get upset about as your going to have things go wrong no matter what you get.

Deezer, btr & hmustang - have you been following the posts under "Engines" lately? Be honest - what did I start out saying that was so horrible? All of a sudden a few disgruntled members are all over me for my posts! I don't care but I sure don't like being called a redneck, low class or that I have an alligator mouth! They have COMPLETELY missed my point - do not resort to name calling! If they have valid complaints & they do, then post those complaints! Calling us names isn't solving their problems! What is the problem with that? Oh well - I can hold my own against these guys but it sure is annoying to keep reading their attacks. Then again, maybe that's all they have in life so far be it from me to spoil it for them! One thing I do know - they will tire of this before I do! I am too stubborn & I don't back down! You have to realize the mentality (or lack of) of those people.
It doesn't matter what you or any one says, they will simply dissect the post and find a few words to distort and find offense to, thereby justifying their insults.
You could worship the ground they walk on and then ask if that gold stripe on their shoes comes in any other colors, and they will say "Isn't my gold stripe good enough for you?"

Hey Cowlady, you ever spend any time in West Texas? Just curious, born and raised there myself and live in Dallas now. You learn to take the insults, that people so willing dish out, as a view of their intelligence. Most people that put you down for country life aren't as intelligent as they think. In fact I would say 90% of them are actually more ignorant than the dumbest box of rocks I have ever met from the country. I would be willing to support you any day, anytime, and anyplace.
