F-150 redesign
GIJoeCam, we just got to get some aftermarket wheels, this is embarrassing.
I've searched all over the keyboard and there's none to be had. I'll have to post something about this in the Vendor Forum.

I did catch a blurb in one of the Car Design links I have that they are to debut a Ford Truck concept this week at Detroit NAIAS 01. Keep your ears out!

Fabtech 3 1/2 lift,3" spindles, 3" body lift=9 1/2 inches of lift, lift lips.coverking dash cover, Lumi Logo's (front and rear), clear front corner lenses, muth mirrors,dash mounted CB, (TX Chapter requirement,lol),personalized license plates, Superlift traction bars,Image tail light covers (painted).and it still fits in the garage, yeahhhhhh

I was flipping through the channels this weekend, and on CNN (Clinton News Network) the show "Movers" highlighted Ford Chief Designer J Mays. The interesting part is they were interviewing him in a 'tooling' room where he was surrounded by Ford truck concepts. (My ASCII illustrations can't do them justice.) Anyhoo, I recorded the 2nd showing of the show @ 2:30am Monday, and viewed last night. Although they did a FANTASTIC job of not showing any of the full-size clay vehicles, with my rewind/slow/pause technique I think the trucks were either new SuperDuties, or the new F150(!?). I think they were f150s because they appeared to be sized between the SuperDuty and Ranger. The trucks all sported the 'dipped' windows (like on the SD) the dips where of different sizes and transitions (some shallow and long like, others more dramatic and transitioning over the length of the side windows). The tailights were similar to the new Explorers w/white wrap-around strip in the middle of the red. The front hood (from the side) also looked similar to the SD, but MUCH shorter (proportioned more to F150 hood length). The hoodline had an angular center raise similar to both the SD and 01 Ranger 4x4. My overall impression was that if this is (in fact) concepts for the new F150, then it has a MUCH more TRUCKish look (tougher), with a more angular approach, and 'upright' stance. Don't know if these are really an F150, but the you guys might like some mental bubblegum...
