3 weeks ago, I put 20, 80lb bags (1600lbs) of concrete in my truck. Plus the 150-200lbs my tool box adds. I didnt snap a leaf spring. as a matter of fact, It didnt even squeak.

Quit justifying the ugly unibodies, shoulda bought a oval.

i had about 900lbs in the bed of my truck. that was water softener salt, cement, wood, screws/nails, and drywall mud. the springs never snapped but they did squeak a little bit. and thats not including the 300lbs guy we made sit back there

+1

It is a amazing what Casper runs around and does to fleet trucks, nobody that drives them ever knows what happened. It is either "it was like that when I left" or "it worked fine when I drove it". I don't care what brand, it happens to all of them, they can all be broken if someone tries hard enough... and if it isn't their truck they don't care anyway.

Shoulda got another Ford, but at least its funny.

What did it do when it snapped? Did you feel the truck change at all? Anything strange go on?

i have a freind that is over a service department of a large ford dealer here in Houston.

many of Saturday nights we shoot the chit and i have asked, "do you really think the import vehicles are better" he always laughs and says.
"DAVE let me ask you a question, have you every seen a dealership that dosent have a big old service department out back".
