Thumbs up Digital Camera for Xmas

BelayOn (spousal sweetiepie) surprised me with a Olympus D460 digital camera for Christmas. Being barely computer literate, I was completely taken by surprised, but I can hardly wait to use it. Any tips on where to post some pics to share? It seems most guys here have a site, where would you recommend?
Anything else I should be aware of?

My credentials? Yeah, they're right over there....

Buy some rechargeable batteries, these cameras are great but use up batteries. I have last years modle of the same camera the D450 it is a great camera for posting pics on the internet.
I agree with Bomber www.zing.com is the first place to go to post pics. Does your camera come with Adobe photo delux, if so it is a good software to use to edit the pics. Edit the pictures so they are not to big, will make them download faster.
Good luck, and enjoy your new toy

Cool

If it has a removable memory card like smartmedia or compact flash, you might look into a card reader for your computer. It's half the size of a mouse and reads the memory cards. It save on batteries and shows up in file explorer as a removable drive. You can copy delete etc. just like any other files on your system. Mine is USB and works very nicely. I've never even used the USB cable on the camera or it's software to transfer.

I like Zing since they don't put a banner ad at the top of each pic like Photopoint. It's unlimited storage, but there are limits on the resolution. It wont affect most pics though. I usually resize all of my pics to 800xwhatever.

Good luck
