parallel parking in small spaces??
raoul,
the one on the muth website is $43 or 46.
you're supposed to stick it in your plates, but i dunno if it would work when backing up against a smaller car.
the sensor would probably tell you its too near when the hood of the other car is already under your truck...

I don't have any problem parallel parking mt truck, but mine is only a regular cab short bed. I have had pickups all my life I guess I am just used to them. I allways laugh when people try to park a car in a spot then give up, and I fit my truck in the same spot.
Just get used to using your mirrors, they are your best friend,

What I hate about parallel parking are the idiots. You know the ones. You find a spot to park. You stop before it. Put your blinkers on. Pull ahead to back in and the idiot in a rice burner pulls nose first right behind you. GRRRR!!!!!!!! It's incidents like that which makes me glad I don't carry my S&W with me.
Otherwise, it's not all that hard. You can actually do it quite methodically like I was taught in driver's ed decades ago. You just have to figure out how close to the already parked vehicle you need to be and how far forward of the spot. Turn the wheel all the way towards the side the open space is. Back up until you reach a certain point. Then crank the wheel all the way in the opposite direction and you'll be right where you need to be. Straighten out the wheel and move forward or back to center the vehicle.
Don C is right. Learn to use your mirrors, especially the passenger side mirror. When you get used to the mirrors, you can even back a trailer with just your mirrors. Just like the big rig drivers do.

I grew up driving limosines for my father so the truck doesn't seem to bad for parking. U could do like my wife does here, VALET park! Then again, everyone doesn't have that luxury that Las Vegas provides.
If you drive one of the long wheelbase trucks, they always keep a space open for them right in front of the Fire Hydrant (Fire Plug, whichever). If your truck's color matches the hydrant's, you'll never get a ticket.
