Does anyone have "Windows Me" on their computer?
Hi 2000 F150 4X4,
Yep, updating the BIOS was the very first thing I did. This mainboard has only been out a few months, but they did have an update for it, so I snagged it & reflashed the BIOS. No change.
The BIOS does allow you to actually set the IRQ used by each individual slot, however, none of the devices would come off of IRQ11, they're still all piled up there. Of course I have not yet gone into safe mode and deleted everything as has been suggested, so that's next, along with yanking everything out, and doing each one thing at a time. It's a shame, as I have so much software already installed to prep it to go in replace the current system, but I may have to format & start completely from scratch. Actually, I'd have to do that to really confirm mainboard failure, it's just a *lot* more work that I'd rather not have to do, but then, that's a Windoze computer for you!
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll be going over it this weekend from bare bones, grrr...

I just wanted to relay what I heard last night on a computer show in Rochester. ME as it sits now is the first version. It has many good points BUT all 3 experts agree that people should wait till the first patch/service pack is released. It will eliminate the bugs in the system & should vastly improve it.
When you stop & think about it, the same holds true for our vehicles. Everyone agrees that first model year vehicles have more potential for problems than the following years. I guess the old saying is true - "Good things come to those who wait"! (Except if you buy a Shovie - then NOTHING good will ever come of it! LOL &

4.6L/auto/power EVERYTHING,
nerf bars, 17" wheels, fog lights, trailer hitch w/electrical connector, front tow hooks, bed rail caps,
6 CD changer, lumbar support & 3 cow license plates - so far!
I'll fill in the rest as I get to know the truck better BUT it's big, it's pretty & best of all - IT'S A FORD! He's SO cute!
