Ever tried getting on the "millionaire" show?
Who's tried getting on the show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
My wife says I should try, but I'm afraid that if I made it, I'd bomb out in the first couple of questions and look like a dork.
At home, I can usually blurt out the correct answer before they even show the choices. When the wife asks how I knew the answer, my standard reply is "I heard the Professor mention it on Gilligan's Island."
But I'm lost when it comes to fine arts, entertainment and fashion questions. I'm afraid that if I made it on the show, those are what I'd get at the beginning.
So who's tried getting on? Who's called the number and answered the questions? How far did you get?

I thought I was pretty smart too but, whenever they open up the phone lines I always dial the same number.
Instead of getting an ABC recording, someone says, "Hello".
I say, "I'd like to answer some questions to get on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'".
That's when the voice on the other end starts laughing hysterically.
Then I say, "Regis, is that you?".
Then the voice says, "Look you idiot, everytime this show comes on you call me! You ain't NEVER gonna make it!"
All I know is that Regis ain't as nice as he pretends to be on the tv.

i've tried a couple of times. usually get 2 out of 3 questions right then it's ooops missed. go ahead and call and give it a shot. if you get the first 3 right on the phone the first few quest. on the show would be a piece of cake.
BTW: be sure to have pen and paper ready and remember time counts.
