To be honest, you need to consider what you have to pay to get something else to drive. Your best deal may be to keep it.

Thanks andthensometoo the truck is paid for and i have another car.A 1983 Datsun 280zx. I just want to get rid of one of them but the datsun has some family value.So i figured the truck since i really don't use it.

I don't know if it will help but I heard that at www.kellybluebook.com you can plug in your vehicle's specifics & get an idea of retail value or trade in. You have mods here that probably won't figure in there but add up what you spent & add that on. Off the top of my head I'd say that around here, your truck WITHOUT the mods would get around $16 - $18,000. If you find someone who understands all you have added you should get more than what I'm guessing at!

I'll fill in the rest as I get to know the truck better BUT it's big, it's pretty & best of all - IT'S A FORD! He's SO cute!

 

You've got 3 things that are gonna hurt in the selling of this truck. 1: it's a reg cab 2: it's the smaller V6 engine and 3: it's a 5speed
You already know that all your improvements don't mean squat to a dealer. Your best bet would be to do like Cowlady said and check out what it's worth in KBB. Then try adding half of the price of your mods to that total. This still could be more than what the "average" person is willing to pay for it. So what you need to do is advertise on the internet so you can find the "special" people that are looking for this kind of truck. My last truck was bought by a member of this board. He bought it sight unseen but because he was able to go back through all my post here, he knew everything that had ever happened to it. Good luck with selling yours. By the way, if I'd had the choice of keeping the truck and also having another car to be able to sell...I would have sold the car!!!

Yes eph1fifty it is paid for and there is nothing wrong with it(I wish had bought a ex-cab),but at the time i got a awsome deal and i always wanted a ford f-150 especialy when they changed the body style in 97.I am not married or have any kids so I really don't need the room so when i decide to get married i will get something else.Thanks
