Question Grooming question

I've decided to grow a beard. I had one about five years ago but, this time it's coming in with alot of grey. Has anyone used that Grecian Forumla stuff for beards? If so, how often do you have to use it? I don't want to mess with it if it's going to be a lot of work. Is it hard to find a color that looks 'natural'? I don't want to look like that shadow that Hulk Hogan has going.
What's up with that?

Should I worry about this or just drink some more tequila?

Drink more. The tequila on the beard will help straighten and soften the coarse beard hair, allowing more options for maintenance and or coloring. You must use tequila with blue agave, and stay away from schnapps as they will ultimately clog and tangle the beard.

With few exceptions, a beard is just a mans way of saying "I don't give a ***** what I look like"

I apoligize in advance to those with good looking beards, and no, you do not know who you are, as every man convinces himself that he looks good with one. The only way to find out for sure if yours looks good, is to ask a female that you are not sleeping with and therefore not trying to 'protect her property' by allowing you to go out looking like that.

ATST just confirmed my suspicions. Women DO dress us funny for a reason!

Raoul-
Just do it. If it looks bad, shave it off!

When I had my beard, my ex-wife used to call it the "thigh-tickler". Wonder what she meant by that?

We do NOT need to go there!

Any more references to amateur gynecology, and you will be shunned!

It may have meant that either her thighs were too big, or your face was.

Cool

Well now..............

As a professional who has to wear dress clothes (for Dunbarton, that is not an actual "dress" but suit and tie) and deals with clients quite regularly, I do have a partial beard (goatee, not a strange groomed one, but a normal goatee) and it is well groomed. It is trimmed and the rest of my face shaved every day. I have to do that to be as professional as possible and my wife will not let me shave it off for some reason. You can have one and still be neat and groomed and yes at 37 I do have a tad of grey in mine as well.

Raoul, as for the grey, don't worry about it. ATST is just po'd because as men we look more distinguished as we get older and women just look old. (JUST KIDDING.... as payback for the earlier remarks.)

cphilip, a pony tail is altogether different, and perfectly acceptable on a man. Provided he
1) Only wears one pony tail
2) His hair is clean
3) Doesn't spend more time in the bathroom doing his hair than his wife/ or G/F.

If male lesbian submissive = pw'd, then your normal.

btw, I got a new aluminun driveshaft and it too may have to be replaced (again)

Assuming that the question actually still needs to be answered:

Read the label. Grecian says not to use on beards. The official reason is that it will not work as well on coarser facial hair. The unofficial reason is that the active ingredient in GF is a lead compound, which you don't want around your mouth.

There are instant brush in colorings (Just for Men, and ilk) that sort of work, but usually end up darker than the rest of your hair. This is reminiscent of a bad toupee.

My advice is that if you are worried about the color, then you will not be happy with the beard. Chances are you won't get any women either way

Since my hair is going gray, I don't care if the beard is too. Getting women is not a priority for me, since a quick but painful death at my wife's hand is not appealing. I prefer the much longer painful death she is presently inflicting on me.

Thanks ATST. I now have to admit to being PW'd too. But at least normal.

Wow! so are you saying you go through more drive shafts than you do men? Your turning me on now...

Unhappy

OK, I'll skip the coloring. I'll just go with what I've got and learn to live with it. Guess it's kind of like driving a V6. I did think it would help me pick up women but, after what ATST said I guess it won't. Last time I had a beard my wife didn't mind. I thought it was because I reminded her of her mother.

All I'm trying to do is make a fashion statement. It's not fair that all this grey is showing up. I'm not that old. Just wanted a beard and a little beret for that Beatnik look.

beatnick look! I grow a beard this time of year so everyone thinks I'm a macho deer hunter. Actually I have bagged a couple of deer, one with an Escort, and one with my truck last year.

I thought it looked pretty cool 'til my wife said: (due to my short stature and protruding gut) "all you need is a pointy hat and you'd look like one of those little forest gnomes"
