My wife never saw me without my beard. She always liked, or so I thought. Then one day comes the comment "gee, I wonder what you would look like without your beard??". Make sure that you do something like that during the day, or your likely to end up like Jim Mc's deer!!

Well at his age there are already enough places gowing hair that never where before.

Shifter, your wife is a lucky woman. You da man! Course if you realy don't know what she meant then she might not be so lucky after all. Take a hint boy! Don't make her have to draw you a picture.

ATST, Shifter and Chris, This all brings me to a strange conclusion. I wear a pony tail. And it tickles my wifes thighs too. And she won't let me cut it off... So does this mean I am a male lesbian submissive? If it does I guess I can live with it but I would like to get it "out of the closet" if so. I'm confused.

And to top it all off I have a rusty steel drive shaft as well.

Raoul -
There are "Pro's & Con's" - regarding the growing of beards\drinking of Tequila.
The Pros. can be found on downtown corners of large cities. The Cons are generally in crowbar motels.
Neither one should influence your god-given right to do anything you want to do, - no matter how stupid.
Just don't let me catch you mixing Tequila with Grecian formula, hey, wait a minute, could this be a new drink, lets see - Vodka & Khalua = Black Russian.
Tequila & Grecian formula = Nah, just an old drunken guy with a grey beard.

Cool

I happen to have a fine looking beard, thank you very much... *smile*

As ATST suggested, I have indeed been told this by women that have no personal investment in my appearance. I have also been told that the grey in my beard lends a distinguished look. I've got a lot of grey in my beard and I'm only 35... I'm only just starting to get grey in the temples...

I grew my beard 'cuz I got damn sick and tired of hackin' up my face with a razor... I still shave above and below the beard, but I don't absolutely have to do so everyday.

Very few people have seen me without a beard since I started college nearly 18 years ago... those that have seem to have disappeared mysteriously *grin*

tchuss!

These comments are brutal! I have a beard and sometimes a pony tail. According to ATST, it's a good thing I'm married, otherwise I couldn't BUY a date!

I guess it could be worse, at least I'm not hitting mid life crisis like Raoul!

btw, I got a new aluminun driveshaft and it too may have to be replaced (again)
The only was to know for sure if your new aluminum driveshaft looks better is to ask a guy you aren't sleeping with....

Yes, I have also been told by other women who I was not sleeping with that it looked very good. Plus, I can't help but notice when other women go out of their way to "check me out".

Pony tails are cool. I don't have one anymore because my hair is pretty short, but just 3 years ago, my hair was almost to my waist. I also played in a club band. At the time I seemed to attract a lot of strippers and groupie types. Don't notice that so much anymore unless I am dressed out in full heathen mode ( Shorts and tank top with all the tattoos showing)

But I still look quite respectable everytime I walk into my office or a client site.

Okay, back to the question now.... Just For Men (for beards) lasted about 3 weeks for me. That was the summer of 99. The Friday after Labor Day I went with the bride to have my hair DYED. I looked like a white Dennis Rodman with the orange hair. The goatee was done too and it looked like I put my chin in a glass filled w/ frozen mudslide.
When it all washed out I was left with some of the old blond/red hair that I had grown up with and the color was back in my beard. The beard grew out allready, gee...... The head color is still there after a month. My co-workers and friends commented positively(and still do, I tell them it's due the medication) but seriously, I think that if women and young men can color their hair, why can't a 45 y/o man do it to rejuvinate his "yoot"? What's a yoot?

I'M BACK! Another blast to Montréal to swap kids for the (Cdn) Thanksgiving weekend - tough being a single dad with three teens, with an 8 year old living in another city with the ex.

Hey, great posts, all! Who would have thought you would have got so many responses, Raoul? I was thinking of doing one on toe-jam.

Raoul: You say your wife thinks your beard makes her think of her mother? You blind, man???? Got no faith in the odds of probability???

Anyway, my ex, I know what that meant by the "old thigh tickler". I just don't know what she had to complain about. Mind you, that was the only thing. Except I couldn't keep the place straight enought for her... And I couldn't spend enought time trying to understand her....And I couldn't......

ANYWAY, another thing, my ex always liked my mustache. Come to think of it, I've had it since I was young 20s and that's almost 30 years now. Both my exes liked my mustache, in fact.

S*/t bag! Either I shave that sucker off just to see what I look like, or I'm going to grow a beard now. It's winter!

Well at least some of you can grow a beard. I could go a year without shaving and just have a very bad calyco goatee. It would be a nice compliment to the seven hairs on my chest. Aren't genetics great!

I can't grow one either - not by my choice but Uncle Sam's. Oh Well, 12 months to go and I'll grow one whether I LIKE IT OR NOT!

Actually, I wish my hair would start growing back on my forehead again and leave my knuckles, my ears and back out of it.

Raoul,

I was gonna stay out of this but my personality won't allow it.

Kinda hard to cross dress while wearing a beard, eh? There comes a time in your life that you become a dirty old man whether you like it or not and a gray beard covered with brown shoe polish just doesn't cut it.....

Do what I do ..... when I go to the barber for a haircut, he justs cuts the gray ones.
