Smokes
time to stop smoking. cigs here in some places just went from $3.80 a pack to $5.00 a pack and they are saying buy the end of the week after sales taxes, they will be over $6.00 a pack. yeap, i'm givimg them up. what are any of you guys paying right now?
I think philip morris is going up $0.60 tomorrow and at the end of the month I think another $0.60 tax. Currently $4.27 after tax so it's time to quit again. I quit for about year and dumbass me started back up last year.
Kools and Newports run me about $5 a pack dependeing on where I'm at. They have been that way for about a year or so now. I remeber when I first started smoking Newports I could get them for $1.67 out the door.
Most thieves I encounter now are stealing for their crack, meth, or weed habits. Looks like this will bring out a whole new crop of thieves, stealing to fund their smokes habit......

go to hand rolled straight tobacco. Much nicer. Far cheaper. Just a thought. Quitting would be far smarter.
Thats what I do. I also buy Djarums. Little more pricey, but man they are nice to unwind with. I also enjoy a real nice cigar once in awhile. Smoking those less and less, due to price and current conditions.

About 18 months ago I toured the JR Reynolds cig factory in Winston-Salem. They had bales of overseas tobacco as well as domestic. The only place I remember for certain Africa.
so, obozo raises the tax on cigarettes to pay for his record save the world defecit. large numbers of people quit smoking cause they cant afford it. what does that do to his projected income of taxes.
i heard on fox that accountants phones are busy with people of the over 250K looking to get their reportable income under that. one person said that they can do that with a deffered income account. they put everything over 249,999.00 in an account and draw on that after retirement.
this guy is going to take away any incentive for success.
whats next taxing MRE's consumed by the troops?
