US Air Force - 4 yrs 67-71
Sorry you didn't like your USAF days -- DAVENSA-- I loved my time in -- I spent almost 2 yrs in electronics schools-- At Keesler AFB MS and Goodfellow AFB TX. Iwas an ECM Tech and later a Airborne Tech on RC-135m
Recon planes stationed at Kadena Okinawa. Loved that flying over Northern Laos
and the Gulf of Tonkin. B-52 bomb drops were something to watch from 30,000 ft above!! -- those poor people under thos bombs!!
Went thru Survival school at Faichild AFB Washington -- learned how to appreciate food.

My AFSC (same as Army MOS) was 30153- ECM tech

Wife wanted to come back home -- with or without me -- so I followed her out of the USAF.

Cool

5 1/2 years active duty Army so far. I was 13B (Field Artillery) for three years before reclassing to 91S (Preventive Medicine).

Feb - May 95, Basic Training/AIT, 1/31 FA, FT Sill, OK.

May 95 - Jan 98, 1/41 FA, FT Stewart, GA. Did six months in Kuwait, three in Egypt and two rotations at NTC, CA.

Jan - May 98, 91S Course, FT Sam Houston, TX. This was a four month vacation!

Jun 98 - Jun 99, 38th MED DET, Camp Red Cloud, ROK. Korea wasn't as bad as I had been told it would be. The worst part was missing the wife and newborn daughter who was only two weeks old when I left!

Jun 99 - Present, USA MEDDAC, FT Irwin, CA. Working in a hospital is like not even being in the Army anymore! It's actually a nice break.

Dustoff,
I turned in my WOCS (153A) packet July 1st. My selection board meets in two weeks! I've been told that my packet looked really good. Do you have any advice if I get picked up? I'd like to fly medevac but will take whatever they give me. Great thread!
