Man, Spartan. Your front end got it worse than your truck's! Were you wearing your seat belt?

Regardless, take two cups of Jack Daniels and call me in the morning. Get well soon, eh?

Spartan,
Jeez! I thought that's what the airbag was supposed to prevent! Did all that happen on the initial hit or was there a second impact with a tree or something?

Clipping the deer did no damage, it was all
going smack right into the tree.

And YES, I *always* wear my seat belt, regardless if I'm in a small car, or a large truck, and regardless if I have airbags or not.

All that was just from the air bag, those things really pack a punch.

My truck will be in the shop for another week or two, they're going to lift it off the frame, repair (if any) frame damage/replace it, then fix the front end.
I'll be making some replacements:
A Steel Horse Billet Grill + insert
having fog lights installed
A F-1 Cobra Hood
and a Manik Brush Guard

------------------
97F150 XLT SC 4x4 Flairside 4.6 V8 5sp Dk Toreador Red, 3.55LS
ARE tonneau cover, p255/70rx16 tires (came w/235), Superchip
Pioneer CD w/4 Polk Speakers, skid plates
bed liner, side window deflectors, reese hitch, K&N air filter
40s-2chamber Flowmaster, Bosch +4 spark plugs, rustproofing
Better Built Stainless nerf bars
heavy duty shocks

Thumbs down

Two Fords ago, as I was just 2 blocks into a 277 mile drive home from West Lafayette, IN to St. Louis, I hit a possum with my Ranger. I didn't kill it, as it was already dead; however, to my dismay, there hadn't been any tractor trailers past there to compact his/her carcass. At the time, I was driving a dropped Ranger, which had about 3 1/2 inches of clearance under the front I-beams... (The possum was 4 inches.) The vehicle behind me was a van full of kids. I must've dragged him a good 200 feet before enough of him was smeared on the road to let me proceed alone. Pretty sick.
