Another option for 2001 F150s is power adjustable pedals. I don't know the exact models getting this feature. But my guess is standard on Lariats and an option on XLT.

Thanks, guys, for that info about aftermarket leather steering wheels. If I buy this truck off lease, and I probably will (love it, no problems, and very good residual buy-out price), I will definitely do that once I make the big decision. I guess there will be some labour charges, though, with the airbag and all.

Even so, I'm licking my lips at the thought of placing my hands on a leather wheel again. Now, now, Raoul, let's not get going about leather. Folks will talk!

Black 2000 SC short-box XLT. 4.2V-6, 5-speed, 3.55 limited-slip. CD, remote entry, factory side steps, FORD box liner.

My third F-series: '73 F-100 Custom 240-cube 3-speed, '98 F-150 XL-SC 4.2 5-speed, and '00 F-150 XLT-SC 4.2 5-speed. GREAT trucks!

Does anyone know when the regular and supercab 2001s hit the dealers. I am guessing sometime in mid to late August and maybe even early September. I have one ordered but the dealer isn't sure when to expect them in. I thought maybe someone else has a more precise date. TIA
