Thumbs up

rulucky--

You are so right about the ESSO fuel coupons in Germany! I was stationed there for 3 years..in Stuttgart and Ansbach (near Nurnberg).

The Autobauhn was a blast!

The Autobauhn was fun, but when your going 130mph the fuel cost adds up.. I was at Sembach for 2 years.

G$% D@#&%( F$% S$@^
^$%*&^ #$%^&*$ *(&^%$# *^&^%$$$

Up again.

Last Sunday 2 cents up.
Today 2 cents up.
Next Friday 5 cents up!!!! %^$@* ^&%$#

9 cents up in only 6 days.
0.15 US$ a gallon or 0.06 CDN$ a liter up in only 6 days.

That makes a total of 2.50 DG per liter.

4.21 US$ a gallon. (1 dollar--> 2.25 DG)
1.61 Cdn$ a liter. (1 CDN dollar--> 1.55 DG)

Cause: Crude oil over 30 US$ a barrel.

Last 14 days prices went down to 2.46 DG per liter, went up again tot 2.49 DG per liter and tomorrow on Friday, prices will jump to a new record. +4 cent per liter.

2.53 Dutch Guilder per Liter.

US Dollar went up too,to 2.29 DG
Cdn $ 1.58 DG.

95 Unleaded: 4.18 US$ /Gallon
1.60 Cdn$/Liter

This information was in the newspaper today.

USA did not stock up oilreserves while they expected prices for crude oil would decrease soon.
Instead, prices went up.Now there is a shortage on fuel and Europe is exporting more fuel then usual, causing prices going up.Crude oil 31.75 US Doller per barrel.

Oil exporting countries Saoedie Aurabie,Venezuela and Mexico had already decided to increase production with 1.300.000 barrels a day!!! from April first on.(This is no joke)
Crude oil would drop to 25 US Dollars a barrel.
But now Mexico has withdraw from that deal.Experts say that only an increase of 3.000.000 barrels a day would have influence on crude-oil prices.

Fuel prices (all taxes excluded) are now more expensive in the US than in Europe.

US: 0.97 Dollar a gallon.
Europe:0.88 Dollar a gallon.

Therefore Guys, don't drive too much otherwise prices will go up rapidly .

There's some big thing going around the internet about not buying gas on April 7,8 and the 9th. Fiil up on the 6th and the 10th but not the other 3 days. I guess it makes sense, if you could get a bunch of people to do that it would probably bring the fuel prices right down. I'll do it!

I read the same e-mail...it is going around where I work. This was tried for one day last year...and supposedely it worked (?). I am in if it will help drop these crazy prices.

Has it really been that cold up North to have created such a high demand (per the governement and news reports)... or is this just another load of BS? They said a combination of higher demand from the North and OPEC cutting production caused this. It *seems* like it has been a fairly mild winter around most of the US.

Here in SW Va it's.......

$1.48 for regular unleaded and as high as $1.70 for premium. This is the reason I held off on getting a superchip, was seriously getting ready to get one. I'd love to have one but $42.50 to fill up my truck, no thank you. I'll wait till/if it goes down before I buy it. I have to put premium in my wife's SHO Taurus and couldn't stand to have to put it in the truck as well at these prices. Stupid price gouging!!

Ceesjan: saw your post on 16Feb. Thats some very colorful launguage buster But it's also so true. Prices here have not come down and I've just read over on the diesel board that people that have been using their Shell Credit card and were getting a discount because of this on their diesel purchases, that Shell has dropped the discount!! Sounds like Shell is screwing us coming and going Diesel used to cost less than reg, now it rates right up there with premium.

I paid $1.59 yesterday for "regular" unleaded in SE Michigan. It is $1.65 accross the street in Troy. I fill up at least 2 times per week....you can figure out the rest. My fuel bill will be what the payment is soon.
