Thumbs up Oh Canada

Just some thoughts after spending two weeks with our neighbors of the North.

I love Moosehead.
Except that I woke up every morning with a moosehead.

I didn't care for Canadian money. They don't have a dollar bill. They have a dollar coin and two dollar coin. Everyday I ended up with about 8 pounds of change in my pockets. The mindset in the States is that 'change' isn't 'real' money. I kept passing out the bills without considering using the coins. Next thing I know I've got 40 dollars in change and my britches are down around my knees.

Got my brother-in-law good. He had to get gas and I casually pointed out that the price was only 78.9. He said that was a great price much better than the 1.60 back home and he planned to fill up again before he left Canada. He didn't catch on until he saw that the pump had rang up about $80 dollars for the 25 gallons he bought.

Overall, it was great visiting Canada again.
(hadn't been there since the draft)

Waking up with a Moosehead is alot better than waking up with a horse head, capiche?

Raoul didn't mention the best part: the one dollar coin is called a "Loonie" and the two dollar coin is (what else?) a "Twoonie"!

I was in Alberta last April and had a great time...Banff and Lake Louise are terrific

Marv1, I didn't mention that because I got into trouble up there. In the grocery line with my wife and she was trying to figure out how much the purchase was and I said,
"Hun, it's two loonies and a goofy."
Well, the clerk and stock boy tried to run me across the scanner and bag me.

I ended up in the bag with the Moosehead so I didn't complain.

Glad to hear you liked our Moosehead. You're right about our money, Raoul. I don't like it either but then again I don't get to keep enough of it when I earn it.

About those coins, you know that it was Canadians you can thank for that awful fashion thing about young people wearing their pants half falling down around their butts. It's a hazard of being Canadian (eh?) and we exported the fashion to share the pain.

The truth is Canadians have very nice butts and we like to show them off. We only blame our money, but it's actually a restrained "flasher" thing we all have.

Hi Raoul! Le Canada est bien einh? Canadian money sucks, even for Canadians.

ATST: Your pages look great, but the Ford MI (forgot) background really sticks out too much! You have trouble reading the text! Just had to say it, been building up the courage for the past month

Cool

Which one?
The cover? I am going to change it as soon as I find a suitable 4X4. I need a generic one that is not real. Like a cartoon, drawing or Toy 4X4. The colors on real Trucks just don't work as they reflect light too much.

The one the URL you posted. Hey I can help out I think? I have a clip art booklet (paid like 200 dollars for), I can send you some I have a couple on my cooltrucks.net page. Do you have illustrator and photoshop? 'cause I can send you a vector image .wmf format or I can render them as a gif or jpeg for you so you can alter it as you wish!

Let me know here

Cool

If you have photoshop or paint shop pro, you can just go in and adjust the brightness, contrast, hue, etc to make the image much lighter and more in the background.
