If you had ever felt the concussion of a grenade, or the stench of sulfur from gunpowder, or the smell of body parts and blood on a mass scale, when you smell that combination of things, then you may understand what Bucky is referring to.
It's no game when the bullets are coming your direction. When a frag hits you, things change.

If ducks could drop bombs, duck hunting would be real sport.

Thanks Tumba i see someone else has been there and done that. It is not an easy thing. The whole world changes when the noise begins, mass confusion, heart pounding so hard your ears pulse, everything slows to a crawl, things flying, ie: mud, trees, body parts, helmets and the screaming wounded GI's is something that never goes away. While the regular mexicans are not so much the issue the very well armed drug folks are the ones to worry about.

How many of us have auto firing weapons?? They will have them along with **** we have never seen before. I will be the 2nd one there to help out if this hits the fan (the 1st one is a dead duck). I do have whats needed to hold my own, do you?

I would bet the National Guard of the great state of Texas can hold their own without any help. I've seen the jet jockey's with the Air National Guard
flying around here and feel pretty safe.

I never felt the confusion and stuff you talk about. We were hit by a commy hand held rocket launcher. I was subbing for a wounded door gunner on a Huey. All I remember is the intense heat at the back of my head and the incredible quiet. Next thing was this incredible stench and everything was brilliant white. No folks, you don't want to be in combat. While I'm like everybody here, I'll show up first if need be, but you pray it never happens. It's one thing to experience it first hand, it's bravado to say you look forward to it. Regardless, if you are a shooter, you better be stocking up on ammo while you can still buy it. There is a bunch of legislation out there to limit the ammo that you can have, limit the life of the primer so the ammo expires and won't fire, serial numbers for the case and bullet that you have to sign for, etc. The drug lords will not be subject to these mandates. This is yesterdays news of border violence:
http://www.themonitor.com/articles/b...ts_bridge.html
Matamoros gunfire temporarily shuts down Brownsville bridge

Like I keep saying, it's already a war zone on the Texas/ Mexico border.

We are more or less at more than one war. These are small time thugs, but there are others that are starting to work also?

Yea, I think meth is the problem everywhere.
Black dogs? I haven't heard that before.

And it just keeps comin':
CUIDAD JUAREZ, Mexico -- Ciudad Juarez's police chief stepped down Friday after criminal gangs made a chilling demand: Resign or we will kill more local officers.

Here's the article:
http://www.ksat.com/news/18764098/detail.html#-

The gangs and drug lords won't be happy until they have killed anything that looks like opposition to their agenda. This WILL spill over into the States and it's coming to your neighborhood.
