Hey Mudder~

Great pics!..had me laughing. So did Y2K 7700..."see me pulling this Dodge up the hill?" ROFL..Those pics make me think maybe 4x4 would've been the way to go. Im also wondering how well my 2WD would do in those conditions with my new 35's and 4.56 gears. Can anyone tell me how well I could expect to do in that stuff??

MrScot-
Sure, sounds like a plan to post something there, you never know, we might just be able to get more "Tar-babies" in the mud if we can find a place with no trees that will kiss the sides of their trucks, even though, "Scratches Build Character." Heck, even one claims at how clean their truck is for show and shine, maybe we could make a "Mud 'N' Dull competition out of it.

MNFORD - I always got for the AdobeMobile award. It usually goes to the vehicle that it's impossible to tell what color paint it has, and who can get the most of the chuny stuff up on the roof I've got to buff out ALOT of rubs on the passenger side. I went down a trail with some Jeeps a couple weeks ago. It was made for ATV's so to say the lets, I've got rubs down the entire length. But, hey, every ding, and scratch is a story, not an imperfection. You know there's a lot of tar babies out there that want to do it, just don't know it yet. All it takes is one time, and they're hooked. Heck, when I bought this truck, I didn't even think about taking it off road for... days.

Yeah, that there are a lot of the Tar babies out there, and like you say once they go to mud, they will never go back. Personally I would rather have a scratch or a dent from a tree, rather than a door ding, or a shopping cart collision.
I wish I would have had a camera last fall when I was hunting, so that I could have gotten some pics of my truck. Couldn't see one bit of chrome or what color it was after doing a little "Backroad Scouting." Oh well, this fall the camera will be in the truck all the time, so that I can take pics to post. Maybe even have some later this summer if I can get out of town soon. Maybe over the 4th of July I will get muddy.

I really wish I had pics of the time 2 years ago when I pulled my friends Z-71 out of Lake Arlington. That was a pretty bad night. Poorin down rain, nasty ruts, and too much brush. It was something you would have seen in the back of a 4 wheeler magazine, "Whoops".

Yeah mudder, I have to think that a body lift and 35's would probably solve that problem for ya.

Central mud rally with more than two people intrested! Got my attention. So, MNFord, mudder, maybe we should put a post in the events section and see what happens? Nothing would make me happier than seeing an armada of Fords running through the fields tormenting the shovies. I'm definately game. Just need a centrally located state.

I love the "Whoops" section. Sometimes it gets a little too close to home. I pulled a Z-71 out of my field not too long ago. My friend, for some odd reason, was being defiante in thef act his truck was lesser. Needless to say, I make him walk the walk behind me in the field. He cheated and went outside the ruts (these ruts are about 8-10" deep easily and full of water). Made him go back through normally. I had the tow strap out before he even got stuck. Now he wants to bring over a buddy of his who just bought a new 4x4 Tundra and wants to stretch it's legs. So, I think I'll get a two for one special when I take pics of my towing them out As far as hunting goes MNFORD, it took ahwile to finally wash all the blood and fur out of the bed last winter. It was the "meat wagon". Animals feared its presence Just there's too mant d@mn thorn bushes in these parts. Screeeeetch!

Here is a pic I took of a high school friend of mine back in '82. Sorry for the Chevy.

Anyone got some pics to match this?

Mudder, you might know him, his name is Mike Street...he owns Mike's Off Road over in Hurst.

Holy Daisy-May, Batman! That Chevy's jumpin like the General Lee! Reminds me of that Dodge commercial where they drop them from the sky -- I bet there were some great 'out-takes' on those.

I've got a pic to top that, I just need to get home and upload it. I had some gravel dumped in my driveway last summer and I got real tired of shoveling it myself. So, I took my friends old S10 (84, flat bed, real POS) that he had left here against my will and ran it into the pile or gravel (about 4 feet tall). After awhile it got low enough you could get some speed and jump the thing. The last jump we got about 3 foot of air and went front end down into the yard. Truck never started again after that, and every time you crank it, gravel falls from the engine compartment to the ground Oh, what fun you can have with a $500 truck.

Hehe, thanks 97custom. My life is a sitcom. People either enjoy being around me or run screaming. I'll have that pic up tonight. Got stuck cutting the grass. If only I could hook the brush hog up to the truck and run a PTO off the tranny...hm... Anyhoo, I have a friend brining upa virgin Tundra tonight to see what it can do in my field (my field is like a proving ground for mud and differential clearance!) So, I should have a nice surprise pic of me towing it out. I'll try to pull it out with my riding mower first, just to rub it in As for jumping, anyone know where I can get an Evel Knievel cape?
