I know. It seems far fetched. Or does it? It's taken just a month for this country to slide to the left. We could even catch up to Venezuela.

You might think that what's happening in Venezuela is different from what's happening in our own country. I don't think it is though. We're just at a point that Chavez was at ten years ago. There are a lot of thing happening in our country. A lot of things happening really fast. So fast that we really don't even know what our government is doing. This is how it goes in Venezuela.

Socialism might be ok for a country like Venezuela. It might be ok for Chavez to keep the poor poor and eating from his hand. It might be ok to regulate everyone else in that country so that they are beholden to the government. Maybe that's what the people there want. They must want it as they've just voted to allow Chavez to run for reelection indefinitely. It really doesn't look all that different form what groups like ACORN do here.

It's not far fetched at all. The American people are having the wool pulled over their eyes, and quickly. The problem is, more than half of the people believe that it's worth having the wool pulled over thier eyes, because there is the promise of being aloud to eat out of Obamas hand.

We've really got to watch it here. This stuff aint no joke.

I recall some momentum from the Right back in '05 for a Constitutional amendment which would allow Arnold Schwarzenegger to run for Prez.
Bush was securely in his second term, the House and Senate Repubs had held serve in the elections.
Everything was rosey as they eyed '08.

So I can understand the Left thinking about repealing the 22nd amendment for Obama.

I can also envision them taking a long look at that spot just to the left of Lincoln's shoulder at Mount Rushmore.

Actually, Schwarzeneggers' camp was floating the idea to amend the Constitution for him, not the 'right'.

Bill Clintons' camp, (it may have been Rahm Emmanuel) floated the idea to end term limits when he was President.

This is nothing new.
