Should we fear China?
No doubt we are in a time of "change" and I find myself faced more and more anxiety each day. Here is but another tid bit regarding China's Military strategy. While I have not fully researched it, the implications and ideas postulated in this brief article are surreal.

China will own us in a few decades. We will probably not be able to pay back our debt. But I wouldn't worry about their military, they won't kill us.... just put us to work to make their shoes and crap in sweatshops.
But seriously, China is a threat, however, it's more economical than military, at least right now it is. We need to be worried about Iran if they get their hands on a nuke or two.
Definiately more economical than military, but their raging economy is starting to slow down as of late. It's still pretty strong, but slowing down nonetheless. Also, a lot of their money is starting to leave their country and ending up in foreign banks. Agreed on Iran being a bigger threat currently.
China population it's getting old and they have this Gov rule that don't let them have more than a child per family so...

China needs to pay more attention to what's going on at home. With the world wide recession, a lot of the Chinese are now facing no jobs. Note, I didn't say unemployment- they don't have any benefits. While it's not on front page news, the Chinese people are getting more and more vocal about their Government. While the plan may have been real in years past, I don't think that the Chinese Gov't has the will of the people to do anything that stupid. Our world is becoming more "westernized" all of the time. Folks are enjoying the fruits of their labors. One of the biggest markets in the world right now for privately owned boats is China. Modern muscle cars are becoming more common there. And best of all, the Chinese people are loving it. One of these days, and maybe in my lifetime, I expect to see China a free nation with elected officials like most other Democracies.
