Great Pics Tom, it's funny that all of the trucks are Black or Blue, even the 'Pace' truck (I think I saw blue paint)!
Hope you all had fun.

Tom, still waiting to see pics of your new grille.

Hey F150Europe I never thought my truck would end up in the Netherlands. I'm glad you like the truck, Thanks. I would like to answer your question but I'm not quite sure I under-stand it. Send out another post to this topic and I'll try and tell you what ya need to know.

Cool

I took a look at your truck (the picture of it in front of the nursery). I don't see that Kevin's truck doors are any different than yours. The only thing that might be different is that (I think) Kevin's door rub-strips have a chrome strip in his and yours doesn't.

Perhaps what you're seeing is just an optical illusion?

Kevin - your truck appearing in the Netherlands is one of the many things that make this such a great website!

Talking

Tom and Kevin,

'The only thing that might be different is that (I think) Kevin's door rub-strips have a chrome strip in his and yours doesn't.'

Yes Tom .99's don't have that chrome strip,do they.?Pre 99's had them.
It isn't an optical illusion, is it?

So Kevin what did you do with those door rubstrips?

Hey Sorry if you don,t understand my question. It is really difficult for me to translate all those parts in English/American.

Dutch word for that strip is sierstrip or sierlijst.

Cool

F150Europe,

As I've mentioned to you in the chat room - there is no reason for you to apologize about your English. I could just imagine what most of us Americans would do to your language......

F150 Europe
I didn't do anything to my door strips. They came painted black from the factory. I am a tech at a Ford dealer here in the states
so I see F150's all day long. In 99 Ford quit putting the chrome inserts in the strips. If you wanted to you could get 99 door strips in the color of your truck and install them. But in 99 they no longer have the short strip at the front of the bed. Good luck hope to here from you again.

Question

OK, My 99 truck was built Feb 99 and I don't have chrome inserts.
Your 99 truck was built in the end of 1998 and you have got the chrome inserts on the door and the bed.
I can only have those chrome inserts on the door.
IS that right?

What do they cost in the US? (probably twice as much here)
How are they attached to the door?
Do they just stick to the door, the same way as the badges do on the tailgate and on the sides?
