Exclamation Missing the Stang more and more, wanting the Truck less and less

I sold my 97 V-6 mustang on my 2000 F-150. I have always loved mustang, but now I miss it bad. I got to drive a 00' GT Monday, and it rekindled the fire again. I want to sell my truck, and buy a performance red 5-speed GT. I will never own another V-6 again. So if anybody is Interested about my truck, email me.
It has most of the features in my sig. It is 5 months old, with 3200 miles on it..

Thumbs up

Keep the truck and buy the Stang! Everyone needs two vehicles (car and truck), preferably a Mustang and an F-150.

Thats what I'm going to do. As soon as the trucks paid for getting either a stang or a T/A. Plus keeping the truck, of course.

fakefvc I'm thinking the same as you are I had a 96 GT traded it in for the truck a little over 6 months ago and for the last 3 months wishing I would have waited and gotten another Stang in the spring instead of the truck last fall I test drove a 2000 GT 2 months ago and almost traded I would have if the GT was a 5 speed this one was a auto.

The truck's a work truck. I still love it and treat it good, though.
The '97 Mustang convertible belongs to the wife.
She NEVER lets ME drive it. Probably because it's cherry red.
I've kept my '66 Mustang coupe since I was nineteen. It's still blue.
It's the only thing that still fits me from those days.

I had a '94 Mustang GT before my truck and I missed it a little at first but when I thouhgt of having to replace the tires every 25-30K miles at $1000 a time it made me feel better about my F-150 (my Mustang had the 17" upgraded tires). Plus, I sold it after 3.5 years and made $5500 to put down on my F-150.

I am of the mindset that trucks and sport cars should have V-8's. I have the 4.6 in my truck and love it! I drive mainly city miles nad the 5.4 would have drank too much gas. I am going to put a SuperChip and K&N filter pack on my truck soon and then I am sure I will be even happier with it's performance.

The other reason I dumped the Mustang is reliability. I had it in for a lot of warranty work (clutch, steering, door panels) and my trck has only been in once in two years. I say get a chip and filter and enjoy tour truck. Or trade it on a F-150 with a V-8.

Spring fever?

Don't worry I went through almost the same! A Ford Ranger Splash, A ZX2 and now the F150 all in the past 3 years

I must say that I'm very happy with my truck and it is the first time that I'm still happy with a vehicle after a year! A mustang and a 4x4 truck would be the best for me here in Canada, I hate seeing those nice Mustangs covered in salted mush during our winters.... HA! you mustang people aren't so fast after all hehehe (sound of tires spinning in the snow) + (sound of me driving by)

That's what we did....got both an F150 and a Stang. I got my 2000 F150 first and a month later the 200 Stang convertible came along.

eph1fifty
We test drove the Stang in March during a snow storm...the V6 with 16" wheels and 225/55 performance tires combined with the traction control proved very good in the snow. I may change the wheels and tires for the winter but I want to try it first.

2000 Mustang Convertible, V6, Auto, Triple Black, leather, MACH 460 stereo, 16" Alum wheel/tire package, included the very small back seat hence the F150 is now the "family" vehicle.

And occasionally my wife lets me drive the Cobra....LOL. Now if I can talk her into a Lightning, that would be cool, but she says I can't have anything faster than hers. Well, if I can't get the Lightning, I am thinking about the ATI Procharger setup. Supposed to give 55% to 60% increase on the 4.6 and it comes with an intercooler.

Raoul, you crack me up. Don't know what the hell happened there.....posting from work and the web server locked up for some reason.
