Who in the world is "JD Power and Associates"? I hear this name often. Are they an organization to pay homage to or something? I once remembered seeing a Dodge commercial awhile back in which JD Power's and buddies voted the Dodge Durango the best truck (or something to that effect).
What qualifies this organization to pass judgement on vehicles?

They actually survey owners of new vehicles. Their listing is one of the most prestigous in the industry. But anyway they survey new owners of all vehicles to get their opinion on the quality of their vehicles.
Besides why complain when Ford does well?

I saw the survey results in the local newspaper the other day and have a question. Why did the Ranger do relatively poorly when compared to the Mazda??? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the two trucks basically the same except for price and the name?
