I bought a 2000, F150 Xl 4x4 standard trans with shift on the fly. When I shift into 4high, that is fine. My question is when I shift back into 2high, does this automatically unlock the hubbs or is there something else I need to do. When I first drove the truck off the lot, I got really good gas mileage. Now, since I have been using the 4x4, My mileage has been a little bit less and so I am wondering if my hubs are still locked, even though I am driving around in 2high.
