this is on the far south end of the beach. dude the beach has been open for i dunno how long. alot of stuff is still up. its really not that bad now i thought. still stuff needing to be picked up but its not like all gone and its an abandoned island, still busy, and the local walmart still has security

I'm pretty sure he is talking about where the west bay empties into the gulf. I45 to the island, 61st street to the sea wall, turn right and drive all the way down to the bridge that you have to pay a toll to cross. Instead of going over bridge, veer left onto the beach access road that leads you out onto the sand. If only 2wd dont let up till you get out of the soft stuff.

Its not too crowded, great place to fish, good place to ride quads, and I've never seen law enforcement. Me and a buddy have even camped out a few times without any issues.

If that were say, in the Bahamas, or Hawaii MAYBE... I've seen the gulf coast during the day.

Anywho, that would just kick butt to get to mess around on the beach like that. No such luck for us land locked fools. I guess I could try to find a sandbar on the Missouri River or something...

yea, thats san luis pass.

2wd trucks will have no problem out there. you have to try to get stuck as long as you don't venture off into dunes or wet spots
