Villopoto was flying!

I liked the track; too bad the Vegas dirt is not as loamy as what they get to use in other parts of the country.

Stewart was riding to win the championship, not the race. He was trying to let Chad Reed pass him, but Reed also slowed down and waited until he had a chance to put Stewart down. That was Chad's only chance to win the title, and give pay-back for what Stewart's teammate did to Chad last week.

By the time Reed bumped Stewart off the track (failing to take him down), Villopoto was long gone.

Good race and it was an exciting season! Bring on the outdoor nationals!

I lost so much respect for Reed last night. One thing I've always drilled into my kid's head is ride clean and don't ride over your head. Don't get me wrong, rubbing is racing but that was not rubbing. That was intentionally drifting into Stewarts line to take him out in a HIGH SPEED corner. No excuse for that in my mind. Block passing is fine. That was not a block pass.

I've stuck up for Reed in the past even with all his antics. No matter what you might think of the guy he is a machine. Consistent as hell. No praise from me in the future. And I'm sure I'm not alone after the stunt he pulled last night. Now, before anyone brings up the Chilsom incident, I honestly think the kid acted on his own. I don't think Larry Brooks had anything to do with it. But for the life of me I can't figure out why. Stewart was ahead of Reed at the time. No way Reed passes Stewart again and makes it stick. Reeds good but he can't hang with Stewarts speed. Do or die it seems at times.

Villopoto is a stud. We ate breakfast with him and his Mom and Dad a few years ago after the Millville race. A great family all around. Watch out for him in the outdoors. I honestly think he can hang with Stewart outdoors.

And did you hear Reeds comment and the end of his interview? "We might see you in a couple weeks". I hope he rides motocross this year. And I hope he gets spanked. HARD.

was stewart's act of pushing his bike off earlier in the year and taking out the probably the most gifted riders of all time- windham,-a respectful thing to do?i think not-stewart may have matured some- but-his comment of rc not being the goat was plain rude-i've personally seen and heard comments and actions of the golden boy stewart while he was in pgh when racing steel city years prior-the things i can tell you...this past yr the riders he's brought to a stop by brake checking- has them in an uproar-fyi

There's a difference between brake checking a guy and running him into the tough blocks in a HIGH SPEED corner. No, I'm not a Stewart fan-boy either. I'm just not a fan of dirty riding.

Chad's pass was an attempt to put Bubba off the track - no doubt about it. It was high speed, but there was plenty of run-off area. I'm not too upset about it, since Bubba kept it on two wheels, and it did not change the outcome of the championship.

Chisolm's actions in Round 16 (whether ordered by Brooks or not) opened the door for this kind of thing. And as was pointed out before, Bubba has made many aggressive passes over the years, too (and excused himself from any wrong-doing in the post race interviews). I'm sure Roger DeCoster wanted his team to take the high road, but Chad was going to do it his way.

It was a fun season to watch, and the best rider won the title.

BTW, here is a vid of Windham displaying much more natural talent at takeouts than either Reed or Chisolm, lol : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zbACQ3kL98

I watched it also and I was going crazy. I don't think its boring like many have said b/c its a Bubba show. The kid is good and you have to give it to him. Its not a Bubba show but it is different b/c this is pretty much the first time an African American has not only entered supercross but is winning. Saturday's race was a great one and I can't wait until next year. I think the Vegas race has given Villapoto more confidence so next season it should be him, Reed and Stewart battling it out.

I'm ready for the Nationals to start! I hope the outdoor season is as good as the SX season.
