Advice, which is good which is bad? Troubleshooting

That's because there are intelligent people on this forum, many of whom have been a part of this community for years. I use the word community because, if you stick around long enough, that's truly what it is.
This post is kind of a smack in the face because the tone you assume is like you're talking down to a bunch of grade school kids. Nobody asked you how to diagnose a problem, so posts like this come across as arrogant. That's one of the reasons for the type of feedback you received. Nobody likes a know-it-all.
Just sit back, read the forum and post when you can help someone, or just chat in GD.

Is that what you call the replies in this thread? A post to help someone? It was never a smack to anyone. As I said if you took it personaly then you better ask yourself why.
I am still waiting for someone to actually say that I am wrong in my trouble shooting statements.
If you can't post that or you don't want to add to it then maybe you should be the one to "Just sit back and read"

You were right, they were very receptive to your post in the cummins forum. So receptive in fact noone has bothered replying yet. I guess they were so amazed by the post they immediately went out to "trouble shoot" on their own.

Or maybe they were intelligent enough to know that if they want to help on a topic that they should post.... if not read and carry on.

I tell you what... If I am such an idiot and the mods feel I bring nothing useful to the forum then I invite them to ban me or ask me to leave. If not I politley ask the rest of you to keep your useless comments and rhetoric to yourselves. If I am asked to leave you can be sure I will never return as this would be one forum I would wish not to be a part of.

In all honesty though, there were a few comments that drew all the attention. It was like a pack of wild dogs smelling blood. We all welcome your comments and your expertise; whatever they may be. We're just screwing with you, no hard feelings.

You just don't get it. You're like that dorky kid who sits at the front of the class and feels compelled to shout out the answer before the teach even finished reading the question.
Your original post had a very condescending tone towards the members here. Like you know better than everyone else, and you just had to share that with the rest of us.
Don't worry, we have plenty of good mechanics who regularly frequent the forums. If this thread, this one and this one show the type of posts you have to offer, nobody is going to miss you.

I tell you what.... I have to go now and live my life. I will come back here later to read what you wrote. That will give you lot's of time to come up with more witty attacks like that I am stupid. Is a few hours enough for you? Or do you want to go to the playground for a couple hours with your note pad and write down what the 8 yearolds are saying on the monkey bars? Ok I will give you 6 hours at least. Then you will have time to sharpen your pencils.
