******* it, leave him bad feedback. Heck, lie and say the car was not as described or something if you have too. I know it was a used car and all, but he shouldn't of made it seem like he was going to cover some of the bill if he wasn't going to. If he wouldn't of said that then fine, you kinda got the short end of the stick with a car that needs some new parts, but at least he didn't lie to you. Now he lied, and it cost you money.

I know I would be pissed if that SOB lied to me, and it cost me $300. He deserves a neg. feedback even if it doesn't have to do with the auction. How else are you going to warn people that he is shady?

Yeah that sucks but I see no reason to leave him a negative feedback. If I were the seller I would not pay for the repairs either. I have sold many cars on Ebay and once the car leaves my property my responsibility for the car has ended.

Even if he had not offered to do anything in the beginning you would still be contemplating leaving him a neg so!!! $650 for all those repairs you spoke about does not sound like that bad a deal but i guess anything seems like a deal compared to BMWs highly inflated prices.

Okay, so you used Ebay to actually buy the car. Buy it Now or ended the auction or whatever. Then you and your boy went to see it before you made any payment on it through paypal or anything right? Thats when you guys made the arrangement that he would pay half, heck to me thats within your rights to make neg feedback man. I would do it blast him, then blast Ebay. I dunno man I sold a ATV on ebay the dude bought it through the auction, then we meet up half way on either side and he then rode and paid for the quad. If the dude would have not showed up half way I would have left neg feedback on him for buying it and not showing up. So you should have the same right, I would say alot of the car buying and anything that has to be picked up is actually paid in cash in person so to me people need to know about idiots like him before they end up like you. Im sorry for all thats happend man you will get yours in the end.

I think you're missing the point. He said he is mad that the guy made it seem like he would pay, then told him to pack sand. Which cost him $300 in labor charges.

Nope I didn't miss the point My guess is the guy who sold the car was inexperienced selling cars and made that offer by mistake. I am just saying even if the seller didn't make that offer the OP would still be pissed at him.

If the guy told you all scheduled maintenance was up to date. That would include the timing belt for sure. It is stated in all owner's manuals when these things are due for scheduled maintenance. So that would by intent would mean he told you the belt had been changed.

That would be an outright lie. Wouldn't it?

Negative feedback. Damn strait!

After he recieved that fax did you hear back from him before you had the shop make the repairs? If not then I guess you just assumed he would agree with the estimate and pay up. We all know what happens when you assume.

Leave negative feedback if you want. That's not my call.

So what kind of car was it?
