Two reasons.
1. It's a Ford.
2. It's the best looking truck made.

1) Ford finally ditched the I-Beam front axle (bought a '97).

2) Chevy's transmission sucks.

3) Chrysler products scare me.

4) Ford's MFG & Eng'g. & Quality systems are very good.

5) Lotza others on the road.

6) Car-like interior comfort.

7) SOHC wiz-bang engine design.

8) Drove the *iss out of a 4.6L rental car and couldn't believe the power.

9) 3rd door (remember, my first one was a '97)

10) It's a damned Manly Truck!

Large V8, PW/PL, $20K, Avalible for immidiate delivery (in stock)
Tundra was out: No V8 regcab
Chevy out: 5.3L regcabs are rare and expensive
Dodge: Saw $$$ Sticker and left lot.
Really the best bang for the $$$.
Had a Nissan prior to my Ford so I wasn't biased to any brand.

Simply put, a F-150 is the most vehicle for the buck. Considered Tundra and Silverado, but they priced themselves out of my reach. Heck, I got a full-size truck w/ a V8 for LESS than the average price of a new CAR!

Also, Ford has proven it builds a reliable truck. My family put 230,000 on an Aerostar and 206,000 miles on a Nissan pickup; Ford is winning so far. We'll see, I'll be riding this truck till she drops.
