You're coming during bike week!!! EEEEEK!!!! Traffic comes to a TOTAL stop!!! Bikes (HOGS!!)rule!!! Motel rooms triple their rates!! The whole town does not sleep!! So for your piece of mind and your girlfriends, may I suggest you find a place to stay closer to Wilmington!!! We also have some other friends coming from VA for bike week. They drive their camper and pull their bike. Sounds like I'm gonna have a house full, more the merrier!!! Hope you make it up to Wilmington too!! (if you can get past all those bikes) We're hoping to drive the bike down to Myrtle beach either Sat or Sun to just LOOK!!! Are you sure you can't drive your truck and haul your bike????

Tina,
naw, too late, I already bought the plain tickets. But it is okay, we are staying in her parents condo, so we don't have to worry about the price of living, and we are mostly just gonna live on the beach when we aren't visiting her parents.
Just out of curiosity, what are the exact dates of bike week? cause we will be sure to avoid the area during that time and just hide in the condo or something yeah, I am not exactly excited about being there during that week, but it is the week between my Fiance's last final and commencement, then she has to find a real job, so we probably won't have a chance again any time soon.

I'm not sure on the dates either, we just usually watch for all the bikes heading south and then we know it's here. Be very glad you already have a place, Motels rent a year out on these dates!! My neighbor uaually goes for the entire week and at the end of their "vacation" they book for the next year. They told me that last year, most of their fun involved just sitting on their balcony and watching all the bikes "strole" by. From her discription, the women on a lot of these bikes are very crude (you wanna see it, they show it). Your girlfriend should know which areas to avoid so that the two of you don't end up at a biker party. Have a great time.

Franks and beans,
If I had any choice in the matter we wouldn't of rented anything and every one could have ridden in the bed of my truck. Rent a Wreck wasn't the only place that would rent to us but it was the only place that wasn't charging us out the a$$. As far as Vehicles go, my mom drives a windstar and compared to the piece of Dodge crap we drove it is a pleasure to drive. Would have much rather drive a Windstar any day over the dodge!

Dennis,
There wer several places that rent to us but the charged twice as much that they would any driver over 25.
