Hmmmm...I don't hit the accelerator nearly as much as I used to when I was driving sports cars, for a few reasons. First, 90 or 100 MPH in a truck just doesn't give me the same thrill it did in a Vette. Second, I always feel like when I'm trying to outrun someone in a big ole' 4X4, people are usually having a laugh at my expense (after all, my truck was made for climbin'). Third, when I step on it, I feel like I can almost SEE the needle on the gas gauge drop...and at $1.50 a gallon, well, you could say I'm getting cheap at the ripe old age of 40!!!!

Now...if I had a Lightning...I'd be comin' right up behind Claudia....with this demonic laugh....

I still drive to fast, but not as fast as I did in my 93 Lightning. I love the higher stance of the 4x4, and I love to look down on all the girls in cars, amazing what they do when they are all olone in a car.

WHY DON'T THE PICS IN MY PROFILE SHOW UP, UNLESS I EDIT THE POSTING?

Oxford White with Wedgewood Blue two tone, with Blue Captains chairs
Bassani Cat Back, Superchip,Modified intake with modified K&N filter.

I'm more laid back, I don't feel like I have to race with others (RiceBurners). Since I'm sitting taller, I feel more in control. And with the weight of my truck and all I drive more intelligently (Well I try, God help me please, I try)

I'm a much more conservative driver in the truck. Haven't gotten a moving violation with any of my various F series over the past 13 years. My cars, on the other hand... 3 speeding tickets.

Claudia: Oh I'm a very helpful guy ya know...a real Boy Scout

Actually...I'd be hoping you'd flash me, and if I was driving a Lightning...I could catch up to ya and you could keep flashin' me over and over! *grinning*

i drive too fast and i wish i could slow down. for some reason i like to try to beat people across the intersection. and i need to be more careful on the interstates b/c there are a lot more cars faster than my v6 and i'm sitting there trying to be faster than them.
hopefully when mom gets a 2000 mustang GT convertible I'll drive it sanely, not! oh man, i can't wait till we get one of those. i'll be making her drive my truck all the time then.
and for those who stay under 2000 rpms...how do you do it? i have to get up to about 3000 to get anywhere, don't like holding up traffic.

Cool

'But when we get behind closed doors,'
'then she lets her hair hang down,'
'and she makes me glad that I'm a man,'
''cause no one knows what goes on behind closed doors.'

Thought I'd better start singing so you two would know the rest of us are here.
