If I only had enough free time to keep count of how many Obama threads are made over the next 4 years.... Man its gonna be interesting.

 

Just count back the Bush, threads and multiply time 2.

 

Only because Bush was twice the prez that obama will ever be. Not that I liked Bush so much.. but because obama is that bad. One week and he has steped in it to many times to count. And the angry winners that voted for obama know in there heart he is not "the one" So they lash out.....hence the most unhappy winners in history.

 

I listen to a lot of Conservative talk radio, and I'm not real happy with Hannity's and Rush's response to this election.

It really has become a "Us vs Them" mentality. Hannity even calls it the Underground, the Resistance,.... It's NOT a WAR. Sheesh, we're all American's here.

John Stewart has Never stooped to this kind of level. They Actually WANT America to get worse, just to make their Points.

Did Conservatives claim Democrats "wanted" the Iraq War to fail? I NEVER thought that, even though I wasn't happy being there. It's just not good for America.

I'm really disappointed in these Talk Show guys lately. Deep down I know their good people, but I just don't like this approach. You can't argue they're trying to Divide this nation...

 

That is very true. It is a shame that people speak in such extremes.

 

i didnt want him to win at all..but he is our president...nothing anyone says is gonna change it so might as well adapt and support, it wont hurt

 

Reasonable people would say what you just said... or would they? Why would a conservitive support socialist ideas? Why should we help pass laws and ideas that we are dyametricly apposed to? That just doesn't make sense. And the fact is, it is a culture war. We as Americans have never gone this far down this path to socialism. BTW... yes, democrats wanted the Iraq war to fail by there words and some actions. There only saving grace is that they could have not funded the war anymore, but they did. I will give them credit for that.

Yup... with the egar help of the democrat congress. One of his biggest bone head moves. Trust me, Bush is no conservitive. There is plenty to critisize him about. Like I have said before, on a lot of issues he was a liberal dream. And don't forget why the banks failed. It was jimmy the peanut carter's community redevelopment act that started that snow ball.. then clinton insisted that it got bigger and MADE the banks loan money to high risk borrowers. That is a fact.

 

Chris, if you ever had a clue about a fact, it would be amazing. Even the right-wing pundits don't spin that yarn anymore as it's been discredited every which you can.

Now we're all Americans here? Sheesh. Now that you've got Obama you expect us all to forget eight years of liberal Bush bashing and republican belittling. You didn't seem to remember that we're all Americans here untill Obama won the election. No, it's not a war. It's a debate. There are some vastly different visions of this countries future. Some of us don't want a country that is like France or England. Some of us don't want to hand over a large portion of control of our lives to the government.

I have only seen Stewart a few times and what I saw was a liberal comedian. Liberal being the quite apparent. Objectivity? None. I listen to Limbaugh if/when I'm in the vehicle. I've been listening for several years now. He doesn't want America to get worse to make a point. He is constantly encouraging the individual to strive for perfection. To live up to their potential. He is inspirational to many listeners. He doesn't want Obamas ideas, that contain provisions to have way too much power over our lives, to suceede. I don't either.

If you are a regular viewer of some one like Stewart, you aren't going to understrand Limbaugh any more than I, a regular listener of some one like Limbaugh, is going to understand Stewart. I don't know how much conservative talk radio you listen too. It seems pretty likely that if you listend to it enough, you would understand where people like Limbaugh are coming from. I try to give equal time to liberal talk radio. Air America. It's funny how you people complain about Limbaugh when you've got people like Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes, Rachel Maddow, on the radio being much more inflamitory than Limbaugh. Then you have a buch of these liberal opinion shows on tv. It's liberal saturation. You complain about a hand full of conservative opinion shows.

Democrats didn't say that they wanted failure in Iraq. They said that there was failure in Iraq. Every step of the way they said Iraq was a failure. They said that they supported the troops but not the mission. That was ok to say then but now you can't say that you support our president but not his agenda. Why is that? Why, if you say that you do not support this presidents agenda you are tied to the whipping post?

I don't know that all talk show guys are trying to divide the country. Who is doing that? Limbaugh? Hannity? How about Olbermann? How about Matthews? There are two parties. Only two. When we go to the voting booth we have to choose one of the two in a given race. Do you think it would be better if the two parties were virtually the same? Then there wouldn't be the need to contrast the two. Well, they are basicly the same. Too much so. I, for one, would like to see the differences. That's why people like Limbaugh appeal to such a huge audience. One of the two parties is more likely to be in line with an individuals beliefs on an issue. We need to know what the differences in ideas are so that we can choose who's side is more in line with our beliefs. That's not division. That's becoming informed.
