I can't believe what a bunch of lame assed red necked yahoo bigots we have on this board. I can't imagine a Christian, a TRUE Christian, spouting the kind of hate I'm seeing here. (BTW, how do you like being called a lame assed red necked yahoo bigot? Stereotypical, wouldn't you say?)

If you hate gays all that much, you may as well get rid of your trucks because there are gays building our trucks.

You may as well stop flying too since the major airlines are offering domestic partnership benefits.

Hell, stop watching TV and going to the movies too.

I'm damned tired listening to religious zealots throwing the bible around while they IGNORE parts that they don't think apply to them. A great number of "Christians" I know have gotten divorced because of adultery. There are thousands upon thousands of Christians in jail because they murdered somebody. I've even seen children of Baptist pastors do drugs when I was in college! One of the wildest girls in my dorm was the daughter of a minister!

Where is it written that a child needs both parents to grow up right??? You just pissed on all the single parents out there. What about the orphans who don't have even ONE parent? Look at all the kids from homes with a mother and father who end up being delinquents, crooks, murderers, etc.? Hell, Every damned inmate in every damned jail in this God forsaken world is the result of male sperm and a female egg!

When is all this hate going to end?

I thought Christians were supposed to be forgiving and loving people?

P.S. I'm a human being who isn't threatened by anybody's sexual preference.

P.P.S. Why are you baseball bat swinging bigots so unsure of your own sexuality? Hmmm??? I seem to recall reading that some of the most homophobic people are actually homosexual themselves. Let that one bounce around between your ears for a couple of minutes.

P.P.P.S. This country is for EVERYBODY. If you think otherwise, then you would probably be happier living in the past. Like in the 1930s and early 1940s in Germany. Kick THAT one around for a couple of minutes too!

To the List Members who are speaking out against hate... Good for you and anybody else who stands up to hatred. We'd all have a much nicer place to live and raise our kids if more people thought like you and had the courage to say it.

Ford4fun, you bring up an interesting point that's making me think.

You know, I've done a lot of volunteer search and rescue. I've saved over 3 dozen people and have never asked if they they were gay, Christian, Catholic, Jewish, athiests, agnostic, bigotted, or from Montana.

Maybe all people who do search and rescue should start asking if the person they're looking for is a bigot from someplace like Montana. If they are, we should just let them rot. After all, why should we risk our lives to save a bigot? The fewer bigots in this world, the better. Wouldn't you agree?

I wonder if I can tell the blood bank to make sure my blood is never used to save the life of a bigot?

End the Hate.

BTW, it's pretty much been shown that the HIV virus got into the human population through the consumption of under cooked primates in Africa. Oh and to educate you a bit further, you don't catch AIDS from anybody or anything. You get the HIV virus and your body fights it and produces anti-bodies. Eventually, the virus wins out. Then, you get AIDS. AIDS is the disease. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS.

Oh yeah... One final point. Having sex with an animal other than another human being is called bestiality. Bestiality is not limited to one particular sexual preference. Take a look at one of the newsgroups dedicated to bestiality and you'll mostly see women doing it with animals. Of course in your part of the country, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of "good 'ole boys" who do it with sheep.

Damned, didn't they teach you anything in your 18 years? Oh yeah, they taught you how to be a hateful bigot.

In a related story, Ford man and a gay man bumped into each other on the street. Words were exchanged and then things got ugly. We warn you that the video clip you are about to see is disturbing. Please send all small children out of the room.

Nothing like stirrin' up the crowd, huh Ford man.

dennis,
talk about throwing the bible around....
there is a guy who we call 'preacher bob' that comes out and preaches on the library lawn every mon, wedn, and fri. he calls our school OK. Sin Univ. and Ok sex univ.. claims we are all in the need of his calling, we all sin, every frat/sorority member is a ***** or ***** monger, and birth control pills are the same as abortion. he's trying to change the dress of the cheerleaders b/c there skirts are too short. can't drink, smoke, listen to rock, cut your hair, premarital sex, and premarital kissing, etc. women are not allowed to speak in church, god talks to him, jesus and god are the same guy, called faculty females ****** b/c they wore low cut blouses instead of turtlenecks, etc. he rags on everybody, he insults everybody especially catholics, frats/sororities, gays, etc. sometimes he reads from the bible and other times he just points fingers and plays the name-calling game.
claims he is perfect and never sins, his wife obeys him completely.
and he can't be kicked off campus or he'll sue. you have to get a license to speak publicly on campus and he violates almost every rule f/ harassing people to insulting the school. but he has a private record.
he has been permantley kicked off of campuses but he also sues them too. however he has a big grab on OSU by enrolling as a student so now he can claim he has every right to be there. he has been thrown into ponds and he made some girl cry and sued her father after he (the father) punched him in the face.
he even went down to San Antonio during spring break and was preaching in front of the Alamo.
you know the frat house fire in PA that killed 3? bob says god did that b/c they are evil. also said god took out the A&M bonfire too, evil, evil, evil students.
this guy is a big jerk.

Must be one of his relatives that lives about 4 miles from me. We call him Pat Robertson.

WTF are you talkin' about selva1? I may stir things up, but don't misunderstand my remarks on this thread. I was being sarcastic in regards to the anti-gay crowd. I'm confident in my masculinity and NOT homophobic. Homosexuals don't bother me and I don't understand why the religious right crowd wants to act like this is an issue that ought to concern everyone. I have friends who're homosexual, or as the tactful would say, "****" and it doesn't bother me. When I was fifteen or sixteen and pretty well had the answers to all of life's concerns, I had some of the hate mongering attitudes displayed here. As I've gotten older and gotten out of the podunk towns where I grew up, I've realized not everything or everyone fits in that black-and-white right-or-wrong mold. Homosexuals aren't the hideous creatures that the pious "moral" majority would like everyone to believe. If you pay your taxes and live your life within the confines of the law, why shouldn't you be able to enjoy the rights and benefits of marriage? Back to the homophobics, what scares you about gays? Are you afraid you might end up going over to their team? Or are you just afraid you may end up making friends with them?

I'd like to apologize to anyone who was personally offended by my posts. It was no more right of me to call people bigots than it is to call people ****. As long as you don't preach or use violence, I don't care what you think about homosexuals - it is your right to believe whatever you choose. It's just that when people threaten violence against gays, they are threatening at least one member of my family and that's enough to really set me off. I will never let anyone hurt my family. Nothing personal was meant.

Ford Man:
I guess I missed the sarcasm. I was reading the posts in order, and your hard shot came right after Pony six's heartfelt plea. Thought you were just stirrin things up (not that I have a problem with that, makes for some interesting reading). Now I realize you two posted at the same time. Oh well, let the flames continue........

Just curious, all these posts seem to show hate towards gay men. What about all those gay women that most males love to watch going at it. Bet ya they don't consider that to be so evil. I know a few people that are gay and it really doesn't bother me. I don't care what happens behind closed doors because it is none of my business. Back to the original post, I feel we should let them have the rights of a married couple. Why the hell not. Did they do anything to you. And in regards to them raising children, what is the problem. There are many single parents that do a damn fine job raising their kids. And 2 is better then one right. Thats my .02

Bones

Ford man, my apologies. Your sarcasm was a bit too subtle for me. Upon reading your last post and going back over what you said, I can now see the sarcasm you intended.

Pony, I've seen people like "preacher bob." He's got a right to say what he wants. The First Amendment protects him. The best thing you all can do is don't give him an audience. He'll move away to another venue soon enough. Don't even react to him. Well, once is good. Get it off your chest. Then totally ignore him.

On an aside, isn't it funny how church and state are supposed to be separate, but it seems that the church sure does meddle in state affairs!

4D Thunder, wasn't Pat Robertson the one who got his girlfriend (and now wife) pregnant before they got married? hehe... That one still cracks me up. What a hypocrite!

While we're on the subject, how is it that Joseph didn't get pissed off that his wife got pregnant and it wasn't his child? Why was she still a virgin? I thought people got married to procreate? What happened? Was Joseph impotent?

BTW, I played Joseph in my sunday school pagent. I guess I was always the tallest so I got chosen. If I knew then what I know now, I would have b!tch slapped Mary! LOL. Just joking. Lordy, I hope I don't get struck down by lightning.

My apologies to list members who I may have offended by my choice of words in my posts on this subject. However, I will not apologize for my thoughts on this subject and what was said here.

At least I didn't use the "F" word. I really wanted to, but didn't.

Raoul, a group hug sounds good. My *** is big enough for both you and Pony to grab.

I drank some milk once that said 'HOMO' on the cap.
Didn't taste any different to me.

That doesn't mean you could drink it everyday and not 'change' though.

BBQ Man! A Homopteran might fly up that pipe, but no Homosapiens I know would drive a car like that! Well, maybe the kid two houses over would, but I'm still undecided on his specific genus. I look at his parents and I don't know who's to blame. He's just another delinquent product of a heterosexual marriage. Hmmm...

BTW, what's the story on that Honda? What's with the splayed out rear wheel? It looks like a home-brewed turbine exhaust pipe. Are those Arizona plates?
