Post Order times update...

I ordered my F-150 on 17-JAN-00 and got a call today that it has arrived. Dealer told me Mar. 20th, so I was pleasantly surprised. I had to stop by there this evening to sneak a peak on the way home.

I'm not picking it up until at least Thurs. It has a build date of 23-FEB-00 and is number 1195, final assembly point is Ontario. I don't remember where the good ones were coming from, I'll have to nose through all of those threads again.

One thing I did notice, no floor mats. Dealer told me they were standard and the book lists them as such. The splash guards are already on it, though. Sticker is 29450.00 and the written deal is 25232.00, we shall see what changes on Thurs.....

It has a lot of stuff on it... Actually the price is $400 less than what I stated earlier. Believe it or not it's only 2WD. Almost a Lariat, I didn't like the Lariat stickers or the leather seats. I went to go see it again tonight and they've locked it up in the back behind a fence. Hopefully it doesn't have a bunch of "test drive miles" on it come Thurs. Got an 8 a.m. appointment with Ziebart for Fri.

Talked to the original salesman I had, he has started his own business selling cars. (like a broker). He said not to worry about the floor mats, "they won't lose a sale over floormats, stick to your guns."

Also to note the MSRP base price of the F-150 went up $95.00, anyone know why?

One more thing, a butt-load of Supercrews were there. Some with quite a few extras it seemed. Hmmmm.

Yeah, when I see trucks on the lots similarly equipped to mine, they sticker at about $28,000.00 plus. Many versions of the Lariat are cheaper than a loaded XLT. Especially when you get into upgraded axles, wheels and tires, ABS, keyless entry, 4wheel dics brakes, and the other stuff that comes standard on Lariat. Yours must be a LOADED XLT.
