Mileage Roll Call
92K miles, purchased lease return in 04/06 with 16K on the odometer.
Had 5 issues since I got the truck.
#1. Trans failure at 18K miles. Covered under warranty.
#2. Drivers door window regulator failure at 30K miles. Covered under warranty.
#3. MAF / Throttle body gummed up at 88K. Cleaned by me.
#4. Front tires started showing unusual wear at 85K. By 91K they are toast. Looks like possibly ball joints, this I am a little disappointed in, but as they are not greasable units, I shouldn't be suprised. Upgrading to Moog parts.
#5. Transmission cooler leak. (like a Russian race horse kind of leak!) after bumping the cooler line attempting to jack a winch in place behind the bumper at 91K miles. Had this been left alone it would have been fine, but by the same token, I found out the hard way just how fragile the cooler is, and it is scary thin.... I upgraded to the towing package cooler. This should help the truck handle the Houston summers better!
I already have the UCAs and lower ball joints ordered, along with some Rancho RS5000s to help control the big rubber. Gonna be a fun weekend when the parts come in!
I promised my lovely bride a long weekend road trip / camping weekend with the truck once we get the front end squared away and new rubber on it... We just need to pick a spot...

1997 Ford F-150 4x4 4.6 161,xxx miles and still runnin like new. I'm the third legal owner, my grandfather bought it new in '97 from Bob Turners Ford in Albuquerque NM, gave it to my uncle with 50k, and I got it from him 14 months ago with 142,xxx
94 F150 has 165000. It blew a break line about 3.5 years ago and then sat for over 1.5yrs. It is now just my wood hauler/beater. Heck I havn't put gas in it for over a year...
04 F150, I think it is sitting at 57000ish. Its mainly only used for towing our 29ft camper and going on longer trips since my wifes Focus has some very uncomfortable seats, and since I installed DVD players in the head rests for my daughter. Only things that I have HAD to do was replace all 4 rotors/pads and replace 1 rear caliper, the fronts got warped when my brake controller went out when pulling the camper and when the rear caliper froze up it warped one of the rears rotors.
I have a company work truck, so I am lucky that I don't have to put many miles on my trucks. The wifes car (2005 Focus) is a different story, about 25000-30000 miles a year.
