What Does Your Spouse B***h About Your driving the most?
Well I can't decide which of these are worse, but here they are in the order of what he does the most:
*Always grabs that bar and acts like it it a life saving device when ever I turn, stop, or take off from a stop!
*Asks "Was that neccessary?" whenever the tires squeal even a little bit.
*Says "Do you know how fast you are going?" and then quotes the speed limit for our pecticular section of road/freeway. Then also quotes the cost of speeding tickets. (if he only knew HOW familiar I already am about the Ticket prices!)
*Uses imaginary brakes.
*Tells me when lights are red.
*Tells me when other cars are stopping, turning, pulling out, or just plain driving in my vicinity.
*Tells me when the fuel light comes on.
*HE has to use the bathroom more frequently than my 6yr old on long road trips, yet I am the one drinking coffee!
Now before you reply you should know that HE is the one with the MOST wrecks!! (one every yr or two)I haven't been in a wreck since two weeks after I got my license, if you don't count the four times I was rear ended while stopped at a light. (and I mean I had been stopped for some time)
OK people, let er rip!

I couldn't tell ya ATST - I don't pay attention. It sure sounds like your hubby is cloned from my wife though.
You sure you don't wanna marry me - only comments you'd hear from me would be along the lines of, 'cool', 'awesome', 'lets do that again' and so forth.

Whenever we go somewhere together, she drives. I drive the speed limits or 5 over. I've been in some very bad crashes as a driver and passenger so I drive slow and very defensive. My wife drives great and I won't let her talk on the cell phone when she's driving.

ATST,
I won't lie and say I never speed or squeel the tires but, when I do I'm always alone in the vehicle. When I have a passenger, even a family member, I always try to drive more safely. It shows that I understand they have intrusted their safety to me an I am now responsible for more than myself.
My wife would go through the roof if my driving caused her to go through the gyrations you describe. It isn't fair to think your husband should put up with it 'because he's a man'.
Next time, instead of trying to 'rattle his cage' try driving more sedately. It will give your truck a break and add quality miles to your relationship.
(This is what you get when you catch me sober!)

The most common comment is , are you going to let any body pass you today?
We can usually drive 6 or 8 hrs a day on a trip and count the cars that pass me on one hand.
She can express her every concern with a meer inhale...of the entire dashboard! This "super suck" is the wrong application of a great talent.
The bladder is a whole different story. Lets see she drinks 2 POTS of coffee a day and her bladder capacity would best be measured in milliliters. This translates to about 25 to 30 calls from nature a day

First off, I'd like to think of myself as a damn good driver, never had a wreck in my 4 years of drivin (knock on wood). But, when my girlfriend is with me she is usally complaining about how I follow other drivers too close. Well hell, they need to get out of the left lane, and into the right, I mean geez, why don't ya just pull it over and build a fence around it. And one more complaint she has, when I stop to late. But I don't really like the people who have to start breaking a mile before the light or whatever. Ok, since we're talking about complaints, when you are turning off the road and into a parking lot or what have you, do it fast, you're not pullin a trailer. Ok, just one more, don't you love it how people stick there nose out in the street, to peak to see what's comin? When people do that, I get as close to them as possible, say what you will, but they need to learn.

I also not married...I usually won't allow many people to drive my trucks, unless I'm mentally impared. I hate riding with others, because they don't have the suburb intellect and ingetuity that I have...Gloating!
I drive a LOT more carefully when I have the kids in the truck. That being said: If my husband is driving (because he's pleaded so much to be let to drive) and he doesn't drive my truck very often, I have a very nagging problem with him not changing the gears. I mean he's way over 60 and still in 4th, or he's up to 45 and he's got it in 3rd. I'm gonna say something or bust a gut keeping it in. Then he will usually get all pissed off and stop the truck and I get to take over the driving!! Which is exactly what I wanted anyways. Another thing he does is "weave". I think he's basicly staying between the lines, well most of the time anyway. To weave is fine on a harley but not with my truck!! When I'm driving and he's the passenger he over does it everytime I use the brakes. He says I have too heavy a foot and he acts like he's going through the windshield. But I've noticed that the kids don't have this problem. Just him. Besides, I like to down shift, saves on fuel. So I just turn up the music a tad. He also complains about my music and how loud it is. But I've got a rule in my truck. Whoever is the driver gets to pick the music.

Ditto on what Tina said about shifting! My husband almost ALWAYS "forgets" to shift. I am always saying "Shift" or "turn signal" to him. (He likes to leave the signal on when it doesn't reset by itself.)
