my experience with them is positive.

not sure on the ram specs, i know for sure its over 1 gb of ram. the two i have used have had 160gb hard drive and at least 1.8 Ghz processor.

overall, great little computers. would be more than adequate for what you are looking for. cant beat the price either.

I'm pretty dumb when it comes to the brain of a computer but I've got a mini Dell laptop that works great.

I travel for work a lot and my business laptop is huge so it's nice to have a small one where I can fit them both in one bag.

It takes a little getting used to as far as typing on such a small keyboard but once I got used to it everything was all good.

I'm finding a lot of ASUS ones. Question. The ones with Linux are $50 cheaper. How hard would it be to load Windoze onto it? And how would you go about it, since it doesn't have a DVD drive?

The linux models have ssd drives and the xp models have hardrives so you might be better off just spending the extra 50 and getting the xp versions.

XP can be installed off a usb drive

Question #2. ASUS or ACER?

or

The ASUS has a bigger hard drive (160 vs 120gb).

I decided to go with the acer because it seems to get better reviews. Everything is great with it except for the placement of the touch pad buttons.
