He needed a break.

And thats when its time to be mature and ignore it and let someone with authority deal with it. I'm not defending the kid in anyway, shape, or form BUT, some of the posts I saw the "Senior Members" making would have been better off to just leave it alone. IMO yeah it was a pointless topic and a pointless thread but everyone is just as guilty as he was for spamming the thread to 20 pages of absolutely nothing. This is just my opinion on the matter..everyones entitled to one...

How is it that all threads Cory starts, always end up being many many pages long?

And will we be changing food groups this thread? Or sticking to the cory popcorn?

I agree and I was guilty of some of what you speak but...
though im still a noob compared to many senior members here, I try to keep some sort of balance between trying to post constructively and just having fun and trying to be entertaining.
IMHO he just seemed to be doing mostly the latter at the end in all his post.
20 or 100 pages of nothing in one post is different from nothing all over the forum in every post.

Signed,
I like to laugh
and I cried

You can only talk about trucks so much before you pretty much talk about everything there is to talk about. I don't believe that BSing and having a good time on topics other than trucks is spamming. (As stupid as some of the topics get.)

Just to set the record straight, as there seems to be some misunderstanding. Corycham did absolutely nothing wrong in his "newb" thread. There is nothing wrong with BSing to pass the time, kidding with others, or posting info to learn from others. In fact, he stayed very reasonable and calm despite the barbs thrown at him. Where he went wrong was posting worthless. meaningless posts in other threads outside of GD, just to get post count. He was trying to reach that magical senior level. That is why he received a vacation and those posts were deleted.

It's my opinion that more of you "experienced" guys should be encourging these younger members in the proper way to conduct themselves on the site rather than prodding them into making mistakes. Especially the young ones that have a love for Ford trucks and are drawn here by that interest. Sure, they can be immature, but so were most of you at that age.

I was refering to 95'F-150's comments that the thread amounted to spam.

I understood. The thread was not spam, just pointless BS like so many in GD, which is not a problem. His posts in the other threads were spam, and that is why he received the vacation. Hopefully, the young man can learn from the experience and come back and enjoy the site.

Was he young? I recall him saying several times he wasn't a 'kid' though.

He's not a kid, maybe I should have said noob instead of young, in his case. He is defenitly young when it comes to dealing with some of the veterans on here.

Think about it though. Why was the guy spamming in other areas of the forum? To get to the magical 100th post..which is senior member. He spammed to try to get your guy's approval after bashing him left and right. Or this was my opinion or how i saw it on that topic..again just my opinion doesn't mean I'm right, but it doesn't mean I'm wrong either...

Just because your not a Senior Member doesn't mean you haven't been around for a while here. The only reason my post count is so low is because I rarely post outside of GD. If you can't search and find what you are looking for, then you aren't looking to hard.
