From what I've read about it, it's a glitzy version of Vista. I hate Vista, absolutely hate Vista. If and when they stop supporting XP, I'll be using something else and it won't have Microsofts name on it either. Did I tell you, I hate freaking Vista.

I'm using it now. Most everything works OK except for my company's VPN client and my Kodak ESP7 printer (and it doesn't work in Linux either, so I'm screwed either way for now). A lot of people that said they hate Vista say they love this, but I don't see the big difference yet.

I love vista, aside from a driver issue I'm having with my video card. Aside from that, nothing has disapointed me yet with it. I'd like to try Windows 7, but I am unsure of how to dual-boot correctly, and I don't want to F anything up.

Same here I have Vista ultimate 32 bit on one computer and Vista 64 bit on this one and since getting all the updates I have not had any problems.

From what I got from Microsoft on it they were only going to allow 2.5 million Betas be downloaded. Maybe they've hit the limit. I know they were swamped with folks trying to download it.

Post some pics once you get it booted AZ. As you should know I love visually appealing things so I would love to see what 7 is bringing to the table in terms of effects & visual elements .

will do professor

from what ive seen so far, its very aesthetically pleasing, if you plug in an ipod a picture of an ipod pops up....if you have a touch screen you can do things like on an iphone(really wish i had a touch screen now...) pretty cool so far from what ive seen. as for performance we'll see how it does on my crappy computer, microsoft says vista shouldnt work on my computer.....o well the only thing i may have a problem with is the video card, mine is 32mb they require 128mb, but i believe so does vista, its for the aero which i use on vista sooo.....only time will tell, its 13% downloaded, then i have to round up my xp cd (it will be easier to just reinstall xp after partitioning through the boot menu) i practically just installed vista otherwise i would reinstall that while i was at.....o and i need a os installed so i can run deamon (or whatever its called) so i dont have to burn the dvd(since i dont have a burner)..............ok ill stop talking to myself now....
