F150s and Garages
Does your F150 fit in the garage ?
(if you have one)
I think mine would if it didn't have so much junk in there.

My truck fits in our garage. Of coarse our garage is 70'X 28'. I park behind the 10'X 9'Door.

Nope. My Taurus wagon fits with a foot or two to spare front and back, but not my truck. It might fit if I was a micro-surgeon and took 20 minutes each time to park it inside. Anyway, not an issue, even though we got a foot of snow last night. This morning, I had the choice of whipping out the Taurus or sweeping off the truck. A no-brainer - the Taurus stayed.

mine fits but, I have to crawl through it to get to the other side. My 98 Explorer spends most of the time in the garage though.

If I leave the garage door open it does! Actually, I think I can park at an angle and probably close the door, but I haven't tried it yet.

It would if half the garage wasn't used for storage and the other half for the wifes car. And if the storage items weren't there I don't think I'd park it in there anyway, don't need any dings from the family.
Why should I expect to park my new truck in the garage anyway (or have the big closet in the bedroom
) after all, I ONLY pay the rent.

I could probably just squeeeeze it in the garage, but I'd have to play Spiderman getting out and back around to the door. Unfortunately my new baby has to stay outside.

I don't have a garage, but I do have a carport. And it barely squeezes in, even then it sticks out the end. Wife usually parks her car there anyway.

Nope, I need about 1 1/2 feet. We bought a brand new house in an upscale area of Calgary. If anybody knows Calgary you know that trucks likely out number cars here but do you think the architect could pay attention???
I should take a run at it, then it might fit!

Length is not a problem for me, just make it by height though. Garage door is 82" (-2 for the opener), 4x4 is 76". Looks like no lift kit for me. I also don't trust commercial parking garages, there clearances are always less than advertised.

Good question and one I should have thought about before I bought since I intend to keep her garaged. If I would have measured I probably would have gone ahead and bought the lightning I was drooling over instead of the supercab. As it is I can't pull in and fit I have to back in and then there are only 4 inches to spare in garage length. After 8 months of ownership I don't mind backing in and have dramatically improved my backing skills. My neighbors were absolutely shocked that I could park such a large truck in a garage that was designed for wussy compact gas saving econocars. I just smiled and said I am used to getting big things in small places. The women smiled and the men blushed, what a group of prudes.
