Go to www.gmbuypower.com and compare Chevy trucks to Ford.
This is what I found:

They don't mention power windows/locks/mirrors
Aluminum wheels and all the other things XTL offers for the extra $$
IMHO they should compare to XL.
They don't bother to metion what truck of thiers they are using either.
Is it a Work, LS or LT ?
Work is like our XL
LS is like our XLT
LT is like our Larait
It's not really like the Ford but the equiptment is similair

I compared the two top of the lines trucks as well. The Chevy was more expensive that time, but, it had more features. I have to pick up my son right now. I'll post it when I get back. All figures were from www.edmunds.com

 

have to ask my buddy about chevy value. we started looking at trucks at the same time. i bought a used ford he waited a few months then found a new chevy. oh it's a thing of beauty...got all the bells and whistles, thing cost like 10 million dollars or whatever they charge. he's had it for four or five months. in that time i think it has spent three months in the shop. the motor, the tranny, the transfer case, and many other things have needed help.
funny part is when i tell him he should have bought a ford he says nah gotta love those chevies.
they must come with a brainwash tape that plays subliminally.

 

Sweet 99Chevy, where did you get $1500 for a 5.4 motor, retail is $850 and Ford is running a no cost discount on automatic trannys and ABS brakes,a $1300 and something price reduction, so figure it up again.
Just looked at one last week and it shows it on the window sticker.

We drove a new Expedition and a New Suburban. They are CLOSE comparison. The new suburban is a GM replica of the Expedition. IT shows in many ways. I guess the Excusion is on its own planet now.

 

Hold on there Sweet99Chevy, we (the company) just check our offical pricing structure (Kelley Blue Book) and we found the following:
5.4 $1490 if you buy the trailer pkg
A/C and anti lock free (how the hell can we do this?)
So little buddy it seems by your numbers we beat the BOW by $261, plus we give you a better truck! Maybe we should raise our prices!

 

I'll pay a thousand dollars more for a Ford anyday.

I know people who say their Chevy Silverado was overpriced.

 

AC/ antilock brakes are a NO CHARGE option on XLT. I don't know where you folks are gettings these #'s?
I just compared pricing on new trucks equipped as close as possible to my truck.

Chevy's price = $26158 MSRP
Ford's price = $25865 MSRP
Except that the Ford has a CD Changer, and Ford offers $500 cash back as well. That gives the Ford truck about $1000 price advantage over the Chevy.

Lets talk REAL cash paid for these trucks.
When I was looking at full size trucks Chevy offered little discount off of MSRP where as with Ford you can buy them near or below invoice all day long.
The Best Chevy would do is $500.00 over invoice.
When all was said and done Ford was 20K and Chevy was 22K for the same equiptment.
BTW FORD MOTOR CO what's the story behind the username?
Are you a CEO at Ford or something?

 

It a GM website, what do you guys expect. AS far as comparing apples to apples, it's not possible. They have different packages and price structures...not to mention incentives, Ford win the incentive game hands down.

 

My prices were REAL dealer out the door on both trucks.
There was a $2K difference on similiarly equipt trucks.
