I have a Draw-tite on my Ranger and I really like it. It stays up high behind the bumper so all you can see is the hole for the bar and pin.

Check these cheaper hitches out carfully they are not all the same some have thinner wall tubing and are not jigged squarly, i had a cheap hitch and it caused the trailer to pull funny i took it back they said i had bent it by turning to sharply, My new ford i got the towing pkg but beware of cheap hitches.go with a name brand less head aches.

I have used Putnam hitches on several of my trucks with never a problem. I would reccomend ordering a vehicle-specific hitch rather than a universal one. This eliminates the use of shims, spacers, and often eliminates drilling new holes in your frame. I have seen Putnams for as low as $99. I think it was in the Northern (tools and hydraulics) catalog.

It indicates on the site fits 1967-1999 yet it's not a universal.
Make sure you don't have to relocate the spare like you would with a universal.

54, there's a trailer place in Winston-Salem that carries an ad in the Trading Post paper. They carry the Hidden Hitch brand. I've put one on my Suburban and my F-150 w/o nary a problem! Doc
