Costco Insurance-Help needed?

I have been with AAA for over 14 years. I am a little unhappy with some recent service issues and decided to go shopping. My auto policy renews in 3 days.
Costco offers insurance through Ameriprise. Their quoted rate on Auto is about $200 a year lower than AAA. They also might have a better payment plan.
I am still waiting for the Homeowner's quote. This renews in 3 weeks. If I buy both policies, I might get a discount that will reduce price even further.
My real concern is what will happen to my rates when my daughter starts driving in 1 to 2 years.
I had AAA when my son started driving 6 or 7 years ago. Just adding him raised my premium 50% to 60%. When he got a car, my original premium was doubled. No tix, no accidents, and the car was a Chevy Cavalier.
Anybody have any experience with Costco/Ameriprise?

shop around like your doing. don't worry about your daughter til it comes time for her to start driving. you can always raise the deductible to drop her insurance rate

Check Progresive also. My local independant insurance agent put me onto them. I've had good experiences with them. The local ajuster knows us well.:o

I have been with State Farm since I started driving and that was 17 years ago. I have never had a problem with getting my vehicle fixed no questions asked ever. I just take it to the dealer and pick it up when its done and the only thing I have to do is call my agent. Just shop around and find an agent that you like and dont put much faith in low price insurance because you cant put a price tag on service.
