Rose Bowl

Anyone watching?
Who else is tired of hearing how great USC is? They are winning atm, they do have the best ranked defense over the last 25 years, but please, they aren't the end-all be-all team that I am hearing about.

Me.

Easy to do when there's noone to challenge you in your own conference.

they aren't the end-all be-all team that I am hearing about.
I honestly think the people that make up all those polls are finally starting realize that.

I don't think it's fair at all for USC to play in the Rose Bowl. It's practically a home game, aren't the bowls supposed to be played on a "neutral" field. 11 miles for USC compared to 2200 miles for Penn State seems like a pretty big advantage.

Yeah^ they think USC is so great, then why aren't they playing for the national title? I think the Championship game this year is legit. Two best conferences in the country, head to head.

My favorite part was after the game when a reporter asked Pete Caroll if he thought they should be playing in the Nat'l Championship game. He said they would like to play in it because noone can beat them... UUUHHHMMM except for maybe Oregon State!!

If USC is as good as everyone made them out to be tonight they would be undefeated and playing for the title. When USC goes undefeated, then they will be the best team in the nation.

Ya what the hell were they about??

I am just sick of seeing USC on tv and herbstreit talking in general. Because he is so freaking bias, like at the begining of the game he picks a team and if they start losing its not cause the other team is better its cause the team he picked just isnt playing as well it has nothing to do with the other team raping(cite: 2006 national championship when florida destroyed his almamater).

Ya, Rose Bowl was horrible. When the score was 17-7 Herbstreit said that Iowa will have the only Big Ten win this year. So ya, they were both a lil biased. I think the porblem lies within the Big Ten. They really cant compete with largely passing teams. I stopped watching when it was 24-7 and then turned and watched another Big Ten team lose, Mich. St.

Screw you guys Ok ok I go to USC so here are my 2 cents.

I have been following the team for the past 5 years and I will say we aren't as good as we have been, and I wouldn't say we are necessarily national champion status but we are pretty damn good. I wasn't paying too much attention to the announcing but that isn't our fault, it is ABC. Playing at the Rose Bowl also isn't our fault, it is the BCS so don't blame us for things that we have no control over.

And as for Pac 10 comments 5-0 in the bowl games this year.

We are still pretty good and I think it would be stupid for anyone to deny that so bash all you want but we got a pretty strong team, and I think we could have a fair game if we were at the national championship, not saying it is anything definite like we would for sure win, but it would be a good match up. The Trojans played great and Steve Sarcesian is finally out of here

And now time to listen to everyone who hates us reply back

-Fight On!

Wrong quote. Carroll said they would like the opportunity to play because he feels they could beat any team. There is a big difference

If you do not think USC could (did not say would) realistically beat any team out there you a re kidding yourself. While they did lose to Oregon State you would have to agree that USC has a much better team.

USC has a much better team based on what? Playing in a weak conference?

The real reason USC plays in the Rose Bowl in MONEY. Having them there sells tickets and ad time on TV.
