Yeah, I've never understood why they never made a crew cab in the Ram, just stupidity I guess.

Thumbs down

In the early nineties, Dodge restyled their RAM truck and added a V-10 option. My wife immediately feel in love with it, test drove the V-10 from 0-100+ and asked for a Crew-Cab - insisting that she needed/wanted 4 doors.
The manager took her name and number and told her they'd call when they had one.
In 1997, they called offering a V-10 Quad-Cab LOL

In 1998, Ford introduced the Super Duty with a V-10 and a Crew-Cab.

The rest, shall we say, is history.

From ford-diesel.com
Ford sold all the stock a couple of years ago. They now own 0% of Cummins.

Cummins makes their own deals. they have a long term agreement w/dodge for 3/4 & 1tons, and since dodge does not have super duty and up in this country (usa), there is no conflict selling the same engine to ford (beefed up) for their larger trucks. besides, ford has no problem selling every powerstroke that comes off the line.

Maybe Dodge drivers are dumb, but did anyone see that Dodge PowerWagon retro show truck that's making the rounds? Looks mighty good, especially the front end. Can't imagine a crew-cab or SuperCrew version, though.

I'd like to see Ford bring back a modern version of the 1950 F-1. Or how about the Marmon-Herrington-converted Ford-based trucks from around 1937. Anybody recall or read about these brutes?

Basically, a Ford 1.5 ton pick'emup converted to 4-wheel-drive since Ford didn't do it back then, with huge (and I mean tall) tractor-type tires. They were sold by Ford dealers and had the swoopy open-at-the-front fenders and a split windshield and split-oval grill.

Black 2000 SC XLT short-box. 4.2 V-6, 5-speed, 3.55 Limited Slip. Side steps, CD, remote entry, FORD box liner. Add-ons: Older Windstar driver's side wiper blade (with the air scoop, because I don't slow down when it rains), back-up beeper, "f150online.com" sticker and snazzy Tweetie Bird floor mats.

My third F-series: '73 F-100, '98 F-150 and '00 F-150. Great trucks!
