Thumbs down

Snow I got yer snow,
To the tune of a 100" per year average. This year has been way below average. Only about 25" so far. The road crews do a great job of plowing and salting, That is if you like driving in caustic soda. (liquid rust);p

To answer your question ATST, it doesn't come all at once. It usually comes in about 8 to 10 inch installments. (lake effect)

So far I haven't had any this year but I remember the first year I was down here. After living in Michigan I had no problem driving on snow when I seen my first snow when I moved to Tennesse about 3 inches they shut everything down and I never seen so many cars and trucks in ditches in my life thesse dumbasses down here just don't know how to drive on it.

Andthensometoo, Thought you had a real problem there until I realized that you were talking about snow. We got 5-6 inches of snow last night. I had to start plowing parking lots at 4:30, it's gonna be a long day.

There's snow where I am! Houghton, MI. (The northern part of the U.P. for those who don't know. Since it snows almost everyday, 4x4 is an everyday thing except on the main roads. There probably about 2' on the ground now.

Fast46, No, I don't use my truck to plow snow, I use a company truck. My F-150 won't be on the road again until the salt is off the road. I am driving my 88 Ranger until the roads are salt free.
The truck that I plow snow with is a 97 chevy 4.3, and it actually does pretty good.

Have only seen snow three times in my life. Once in 1976(2 inches), Once in the blizzard of 93 (6 inches) and once on a ski slope in North Carolina (fake). Down here in this humid climate it usually sleets heavily before it snows and there is no equipment to clear it so everything MUST shutdown. Your lucky if keep your electricity.

It didn't snow in North Dakota until about mid December. There's probably only about 2-3 inches on the ground now. I haven't even started the snowblower this season. I don't mind snow as long as it comes late and leaves early. It gets old when it hangs around for 5 months (Nov-Mar).

Well we got our first snow of the season today about an inch and a half and there where a few cars in ditches its a good thing we don't get as much in West Tennessee as they do in East Tennessee because I don't think thiers enough tow trucks to go around to pull all the cars out of ditches if we got as much as Eastern Tennessee gets.
